It's a hostel that started many years ago and they know how to manage it. It's easy to talk with her and get a lot of information. And always enjoy some black tea 😁

So close to a quiet beach. Cheap restqurants very near by. Shop opposite. Staff helpful and friendly. Kitchen available and free drinking water. I would stay again.

Located just a few minutes from both Arugam Bay and Pottuvil, the villa is in the perfect spot to explore the area. Whether you're into surfing, sightseeing, or just chilling by the beach, everything is close by. With the help of the wonderful owners, we were able to go on some amazing adventures, including a lagoon safari, Kumana National Park safari, and even a trip to the stunning Crocodile Lake. All the beaches nearby are breathtaking—great for long walks, surf sessions, or just watching the sunset. You can even rent a scooter easily, which makes exploring the entire area super fun and convenient. What truly makes 20 House Arugam special is the incredible hospitality of the owners. They are some of the kindest, most welcoming people you’ll meet, always ready to help and make your stay comfortable. It’s more than just a place to sleep—it’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the best of Arugam Bay in a peaceful and friendly setting!

The owner was rude and she got her husband to fight With us and she almost kicked us out and the room wasn't ready when we arrived w stayed at a poor and dirty reception and

Really good value for money. Double bed, kitchen, free water and the fan was more than enough. Little bit out from Arugam so was a lot more quiet and relaxing but not too far that you'd miss anything. Riswan was a very friendly host too!

I had a good stay in the single room, which was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Reliable Wi-Fi. Though compact, the room was quiet and well-maintained by housekeeping. Room is ideal for solo travelers offering excellent value for money. I would definitely stay again.

“No Value”

Booked a room with an ac, they made a double booking and I was offered a 15% discount, which is fair enough. I had to stay in a room that only had a fan with no net against mosquitoes. Got around 20 bites. The next night I did managed to get a room with an ac which smelt absolutely horrible. They don't clean properly. Brilliant stay indeed... Find a better place, not worth the savings.

Very easy hostel, close to Pottuvil and Arugam Bay. Host speaks perfectly English and could help with the bus connections.
