The 3-course evening meal was pure local cuisine, was excellent and so cheap and included the wine. The view over the Pyrenees as the sun gradually set. Plus the village itself was stunning on its hillltop.

“Absolutely fabulous albergue”

The food at the restaurant in the evening was great. I had plantain and fried bean rissoles. They were lovely. My husband had chicken curry. One of our friends had roast beef in a tortilla. He said it was the nicest meal he had had this visit to Spain. The albergue is at the top of a steep hill in a fairy tale Medieval village. Lots of the locals came in the evening for vermouth. They have a fantastic view of the Pyrenees from the terrace. The young couple running the place were delightful.

Breakfast room is located next to the hotel and rather nice. There are also books and even some toys for children. Even it's clearly not made for covid times, it was comfortable to have breakfast in there. People in the alberge were cheerful and welcoming. I liked their attitude. This place is a small village, conserved its historical look. It is very nice to observe the village and visit their "tower" museum.
