“Amazing and affordable guesthouse in the mountains”

During our 5-day trip through Armenia, we spent one night in the small mountain village of Artabuynk and choosing to stay at the Legend Guest House was one of the best decisions we made! It’s a charming and authentic place run by an incredibly friendly host who truly goes above and beyond for his guests. His lovely mother also prepared a delicious traditional Armenian breakfast that kept us full for almost the entire day of exploring. The guest house is a beautifully renovated traditional Armenian home, featuring a fully equipped kitchen with everything you might need to prepare your own meals. There’s also a cozy living room with a few board games, perfect for relaxing in the evening. Since the nights were already quite chilly, the host kindly provided us with a heater, which we really appreciated. Parking was easy and convenient, with plenty of space and clear signs along the road to help find the property. Thank you, Karen, for making us feel so welcome and at home. We’ll always remember our wonderful stay at your guest house! 🙏🙂

“Outstanding guesthouse in a beautiful and peaceful location”

Owners were away and their son dealt with me. He was very helpful and polite. Nice kitchen and other facilities in a beautiful and peaceful location that was easy to find. The village with a couple of food shops is a short walk away. This would be a wonderful base for hiking or just to relax for a few days, especially with a family.

We are a family of four, we have 2 young daughters. They felt right at home. The place was spacious, spotlessly cleand, but the best asset are it's owners for sure. We met erlerly couple and their son and everyone was really nice and welcoming. More than than, they made us feel like family. The dinner they prepared for us was sooo good. Everything was so fresh and home made. Our little picky eaters stated that the chicken was the best barbeque chicken we had in whole Armenia. If you want a place that feels like home, Legend guesthouse is the right accomodation for you.

We love the very clean, beautiful and well organised property. Especially the comfortable bed and nice shower. The dinner and breakfast are superb. The host and the staff are all so friendly and helpful.

A fantastic experience. Karen and his family looked after me, prepared delicious dinners, gave me good tips about the surroundings, helped me prepare my hike and kept me well fed (and then some) at all times. The house itself is peaceful and spacious, with great views of the mountains. Despite being an authentic country house in an isolated location, it is very well renovated and has all comforts: spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and sofas, good bathroom, even fast wifi. Hiking trails to Tsakhats Kar (astonishing!) and Smbataberd are nearby (walking distance). Hands down one of my best experiences in Armenia, thanks for everything!

This stay in Legend Guest House was absolutely amazing. All around you can find beautiful nature, the facilities are really nice for this price, but the biggest surprise was so delicious homemade dinner. And also fresh fruits!

The Legend Guest House was one of our best experiences so far in Armenia. The hospitality from the whole family was simply overwhelming. We got home made fish, beans and salad for dinner - with fabulous self made wine and wodka - and a variety of breakfast options. It was not only delicious, but also so much food we cannot eat it all, even though we are good eaters. ;-) The room is small, but you can also use a living room with comfortable couches and you have a private bathroom. If you like to hike you have a great option to hike to a fortress and a monastery just around the corner. Everything was clean and comfortable. But the best thing about this guesthouse is the family that welcomes you, makes you feel at home and takes care of you. Don't hesitate to book this guesthouse, you won't be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing stay! Sweet elderly couple running the guest house and treating the guests like kings. Definitely order the dinner, varied homemade dishes with organic ingredients from their garden.

In this lovely guesthouse we had the very best experience during our trip to Armenia, we would recommend to anyone. The friendly atmosphere of the host's family in this mountain village feels very authentic and welcoming. Everyone will be around to constantly help. The rooms and shared bathroom as well as the dining room and kitchen are very nice, recently renovated, comfortable and extremely clean. We could have dinner and breakfast with fresh local food fresh fruit and drinks. Private parking is very easy and the location is perfect to enjoy a superb hike to Tsakhats Kar monastery and Smbataberd fortress (allow 4 hours to visit both, walking directly from your room and back)

Very friendly and very generous host. I really had a feeling that somebody takes care of me. The rooms are nice, the common bathroom and the kitchen are spacious and equipped with everything one might need. The place is close to the trailhead to the monastery / castle.

The family is lovely and generous, kept offering us food and drinks. The breakfast and dinner were delicious! The room was clean and comfortable, with an amazing view of the mountains. Location is right near the trail for the fortress.
