Where do I start?! This resort is one of the best resorts I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve been to many many countries. The resort itself is one of the prettiest places I’ve seen, it’s like a movie set. We went in Autumn and the trees were stunning!!! Everything was just perfect including our room and it was spotlessly clean! We only stayed one night but I wished we stayed more. Staff were awesome, golf course outstanding, 10/10!!

The lovely appointed room looking up into the mountains was lovely. Having everything in walking distance, although a little far somedays. The restaurants and cafe are great with good selection catering for all travellers. We didnt play golf on this occasion.

Lovely property - absolutely stunning location Rooms were fabulous and we had a great view over the hills with stunning sunsets every evening. We got a room with a kitchen which was fantastic for our stay and lovely to have such a well equipped kitchen Bathroom was huge and great water pressure. Bed was comfy Gym and facilities were really good - the guy at the gym gave us so many recommendations which was really useful Great yoga class Can’t wait to come back and visit

Loved the resort and how quiet it was. The staff were friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our long weekend there.

“Disappointing versus what I was led to expect .”

I was expecting a 5 class hotel but overall disappointing. Service was poor by international standards, but probably good by NZ standards in South island. Also I expected the Japanese restaurant to be slightly more formal in the service. Breakfast was very confusing - there were a load of questions before we were given a seat ie buffet , or cooked etc , even though both were on the buffet tables. There were eggs on the buffet table but when I took one I was told it wasn’t a hard boiled egg as I thought and was told to return it . I booked the hotel for 2 nights , but booking of second night was done separately to the first night . I asked that I be accommodated by not having to move rooms . In the event , reception knew nothing about this and proposed moving me to another cheaper room . I asked to be accommodated in the same room and eventually they accommodated me , at an extra cost . I had to make a case for not paying this surcharge( it seems that the first night was in a better room that what was reserved for the 2nd night) and eventually reception waived the extra charge , on the basis that they would have avoided having to move our luggage etc .
