- its really about the nature, there are lot of beautiful plants and also animals, especially birds - its a magical Place, created with love - lovely host who will not get tired to show you the frogs in the dark or the birds in the morning Thank you very much!

We had a great time here! Nice cabin next to the garden. The garden is really nice with lots of birds, butterflies and frogs and even a sloth. The host (Alex) is really friendly and explained a lot about the frogs and other animals. Breakfast is delicious with homemade bread, fresh fruits and eggs and good coffee, and Alex even made gluten free tortillas for our son! Definitely recommend this place!

This property is so laid back it is almost horizontal. Rustic cottages with rustic amenities in a mature garden (planted by the owner some 30 years ago) with tall trees, lots of birds, including toucans, frogs, iguanas etc. The owner is a keen naturalist so if you are into Costa Rican wildlife this place is definitely for you. A good breakfast with youghurt, muesli, fruits, and very good home made bread. We relied on our own cognisance to book trips.

Alex, the owner, is a highly skilled naturalist and a first-rate human being and host. His wife made a wonderful breakfast and his son Kevin, also an excellent naturalist, runs a rafting/outdoor company with his wife Evelyn creating memorable explorations.

Alex is an amazing host with an incredible story who is very knowledgeable about nature. He went above and beyond in showing me around the property and the hidden gems within it, including excellent views of Red-eyed tree frogs

It’s like a little oasis in the property

The place is really incredible. The host, Alex, is so nice and welcomed us with open arms, even for one night. You cannot not like him. He built everything by himself. The place is a bit messy and some things are a bit worn off, but it is very special, I've never seen anything like it. We slept in the tree house, super exceptional! There are a lot of animals to see, like a little oasis. The breakfast was extraordinary. Selfbaked bread and granola made everything perfect. We took a rafting tour with his son Kevin from Green Rivers - it was totally awesome and definitely worth it!

The host was extremely welcoming and generous - he was very happy to recommend local places to go to and share his knowledge of Costa Rican wildlife. The rooms are in lovely gardens where we saw lots of wildlife, including many birds, tree frogs and a monkey. The location is good as there is easy access to the road and surrounding attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

An excellent place! A nice green oasis within walking distance from the town. (We were not bothered by noise from the road) There is great breakfast (fresh fruit, home-made musli/bread, eggs) to be had that is not possible to pre-book through booking.com. The owner is very friendly and informative. Rafting company Green Rivers is located at the compound, so it is easy to arrange a tour and see equipment beforehand. We had one of the best days of our entire trip going rafting with them! They made a great tour that suited the whole family from a 6-year-old to an adventure racer. Highly recommended!

“Fab place to stop over & raft the Sarapiqui river”

Road trip stop off on route to La Fortuna. Well ran super cute bungalows. Alex the owner was very attentive & explained about the oasis her had created over many years. Local town 15 min down & a small restaurant just up the road too with a mini supermarket for supplies. The need to do here is the River rafting which you can book at the bungalows with Green river rafting a fantastic crew of lads that take you 30 drive for a 2 hour raft - great fun & wildlife to see on the Sarapikki river
