“The best stay we had on our 4 month trip of South America”

I cannot recommend staying at Novos Baianos more - we had the most incredible stay here and ended up staying with the lovely host Naomi for two weeks. Originally we were booked in for just over a week, we then left to visit Trancoso further down the cost - we missed Naomi and her Pousada so much we decided to return and spend an extra week here. Location wise you are perfectly situated between all attractions in the area, with easy access to the historic square, the main square, the main streets for food and drink and the beach! It's very easy to walk around the area from here. The hostel itself is very pretty and with great space. We stayed in two different private rooms, both of which were lovely. We used the pool daily which is amazing to cool down in the Brazilian sun! Being situated on the edge of the jungle you get an incredible view, as well as great wildlife. We got visited by some wonderful monkeys on our balcony and had daily sightings of hummingbirds as well as the very friendly cats that live at the hostel. Naomi as a host was just the most wonderful, not only will I always return to this stay when I return to this part of the world but I made a great friend in Naomi! She and the rest of the team are absolutely wonderful, do not miss staying here.

The property was great!! It was very clean, with a spacious room! The stay was very comfortable and we would have stayed longer if we could. The staff and owner was lovely and so very helpful!!

Great place to stay. The room was very clean with a hammock and great views. The location is great, in the heart of the city and walking distance to the beach.

“I loved my stay here. The location was exceptional!”

The location couldn't have been better. It was very easy 5m walk away from the center and 7-10m walk to the beach. The place itself was like a little jungle paradise - very nice and relaxing. Naomi was also an excellent and friendly host. She was super prompt at replying as well. It was perfect! Also, I loved the cats that roamed around - SO CUTE!

It was one of the e best beach hostel I have stayed.. it’s locations is perfect for walking to the center anywhere and to the beach. Kitchen is very well equipped and the pool is very refreshing.. the bed structure is very firm with comfortable mattress.. I had a best time here!!

the atmosphere is just great. the kitchen is nice and everything is clean. naomi is the best and I really recommend you the yoga lessons in the morning in the aula!!! everything was perfect! :)

Nice private rooms with balcony and hammock. Shared pool and kitchen area was well equipped and clean. Host was really helpful.
