Good location. Lots of clothes lines to get things dry on. Roosters but not very noisy. Great pool. Didn't swim at this beach but there are others close by. Good store opposite. Restaurant next door. Very spacious 2 good sized bedrooms as well as lounge dining area. Big deck too for eating outside. Great hot water.

“Cute & Cozy”

It was a little difficult finding the key as comms was not received my end however we managed to find it. However overall the pace was cute, cozy and had everything we needed. Pool was a nice bonus, nice and clean. Very grateful to Peter for allowing us to stay a little longer until our late flight. And wifi was really good too.

It is perfect for families. Space to run around with the football provided. The pool was excellent, and we didn't have to be on edge about them breaking anything or keeping quiet. It is very casual and relaxing. The shop for groceries is on the opposite side of road, takeaway a few minutes walk up the road and rent a car or bike a stones throw away,, a public restaurant on the lovely beach which is 30 seconds walk from lodge. Peter, our host, would check in to ask if we were OK or needed anything. Awesome guy.

It had everything that we needed for a 9 day stay. The pool was a bonus with plenty of furniture and spaces for a small group. Plenty of linen (although a bath mat would help in the bathroom). A BBQ and gas bottle were provided. We arrived at 2am and the owners weee happy to accommodate our arrival at that time. The location was close to lots of things and handy having a car hire place across the road.

“Sundown lodges is in the best location on the island if you like beautiful sunsets & whale watching!”

We had a family group of 8 in 2 lodges. I found the accomadation and booked it so I was nervous that the others would be happy with it. They were extremely happy with my choice! Sundown lodges is in the best location, with the amazing OTB next door (make sure you book in for their Fire Show). And all the best restaurants within walking distance down the beach. For someone wanting a few drinks this spot is ideal because you can walk to cocktail happy hours at the most beautiful locations and watch the most stunning sunset you will see in your life, with the bonus of whale sightings from the beach (in whale season). There is a cafe across the road that we wish we discovered sooner, they also do an island night that looked really good (was nice hearing the island drums most evenings). Our first morning at Sundown lodges my sister in law walked 30 seconds down to the beach and within 5 minutes she saw a whale breach!! Amazing!! From then on we went down most mornings and saw whales :) There is a big lawn that the kids enjoyed playing frizby and ball on. The pool is well maintained and a nice touch for cooling down quickly. Our host Peter was so lovely, he stopped to say hi a couple of times and to check that we were happy with everything. Peter also brought us lovely fresh paw paw fruit. There was also quite a lot of pantry staples, some left from previous guests, that we appreciated. The location is the highlight of this lodge, I would say it's the best spot on the island, with the best snorkling spots near by, Black rock is about a 20 minute walk at most if you haven't got a car/scooter. There is a water station a couple of doors down (5 minute walk) which is very handy because you can't drink the tap water in Raro and buying water adds up fast!

The location and facilities were king!

The apartment had excellent amenities. The location is close to perfect, 30 sec walk from the beach and close to all good locations. Great value for money

Peter the host was awesome, we booked 2 units for our family of 6, the units had everything we needed and the on-site pool was great. the location was superb and we saw whales just off the reef from the beach in front of the property
