Great location, I mean you are right on the River Rhine so the setting is perfect, especially if you like boats. The big houseboat sits very comfortability in the water so there is hardly any movement from passing boats. There are a few room options to choose from, I think there is one on ground floor/deck level, and then a couple of rooms on the upper deck. We were lucky to get the big double on the lower level and had plenty of space to move around and also put our luggage (Note, if you are traveling around Europe and have a few big bags then this room on the lower level is the only room that will work. You wont get big suitcases up the stairs). The host is a great guy, helpful, funny and goes out of his way to look after the guests. We loved the room we had, very quirky indeed, the ensuite bathroom is adequate and the best part about the room is that we had our own private balcony looking out over the river, a great place to enjoy breakfast or a sundowner and watch the boats going past. Breakfast was included and delivered to our rooms every morning at the requested time and the breakfast was really good, very special. A quiet location about ten minutes' walk into town and parking is available but just difficult to get (discuss with the host on arrival).

“An Amazing Experience!”

A very quirky and distinctive bed and breakfast - completely unique in my experience. The owner has created an amazing place from which to explore the city of Arnhem. Its a haven and a pleasure to be enjoyed. The room was comfortable and a treat - from a gramaphone to play old records to sitting a feeding the ducks and watching the world float by. The decor was amazing with an Italian theme throughout. The garden was lovely and restful. Ruud is everything a good host should be - attentive, informative and helpful, besides being a very funny man! Great parking for motorcycle and bikes by the way... The drinks/snacks fridge and the honesty system is a pleasant change! If you want something a little different - you won't be disappointed....

“Chilling by the river.”

Booked in for 2 nights. Smiled for two nights. Ruud is a " local hero " such an easy host who was there for you but never in your face. The accommodation is completely different to anywhere I have stayed and we just loved it. It's comfortable, relaxing slightly crazy and in 5 minute walking distance to bars and restaurants. We went out walking for a bit, came back, chatted to Ruud had a beer out of his very cheap beer and wine fridge, watched the boats go by, listened to Italian opera on the rooms record player, fed the ducks walked up for a meal then repeat. There is free unlimited tea and coffee at your fingertips and a wonderful breakfast brought directly to your room by the ever pleasant host. This is a little piece of Dutch heaven. We absolutely loved everything about it. PS the rooms are huge.

“Excellence on the water”

Drijfpaleis looks amazing, right on the river Rijn with plenty to see. The manager is delightful and has his soul poured into the accommodatie. But then there is the amazing breakfast room service with more than enough fresh food, warm bread and freshly squeezed orange juice.

This amazing location is a piece of art made by the excellent host. Each room has a unique design. The garden is beautiful. The breakfast was very good.

What an incredible place. Such a friendly owner (Ruud)and so helpful. Everything about this place we loved. It's not for someone with mobility issues but that would be only minor issue. It was fabulous. The hotel that just kept on giving. Breakfast in bed with added really friendly cat. The garden is stunning and quirky. Not far from the main centre and looks over the Rhine.

This B&B is located just off city centre, on the river. It is "quirky" in a cosy and very homie way. Location good - just outside city centre, by the river Clean - very clean and fresh, you felt at home right away, you didn't feel 500 other guest have passed though this room as well. Host - friendly and nice, we felt very welcoming at the same time he respected our privacy too Breakfast - meatlovers don't get scared for the veggie brekkie. It was super tasty, fresh, plenty, yogurt, bread, jam, cheese, fruits, fresh orange juice. We sat outside on our private terrace, on the river, just wonderful plus points for "open bar", meaning you could fetch your own drinks throughout the day and evening and then in the end leave your payment for the drinks. also plus point, Nespresso machine in the room, for your morning coffees, to be enjoyed outside on ur private terrace This is the best review we have ever given at Booking. We gave full 10 on almost everything. This places ticked all the boxes for us. We would 100% book in us here again.
