“Quiet haven close to Arnhem, lots to do from doorstep!”

A gem of a place tucked away just outside Arnhem! Quirky! Which i loved, all orange bits and vintage records. Kitchen had everything you might need, hot plate, fridge and kettle etc. Comfy and large bed, really nice shower and cosy lounge with no TV. (Good!) Parking right in front on private drive, bus stop literally end of the drive, pancake house next door! The host is an interesting and funny guy too! He's very knowledgeable about local area and more. I had such a great time! Can't wait to go back!!

“Cosy and convenient stay”

Really cosy stay near a lot of forest paths and it was right next to the bus stop and a nice pannenkoekenhuis. The house stayed cool even though we were in a heat wave and the bed was very comfortable. The owner, Jop, was very friendly and checked in to see if everything was okay for us :)

“Quiet, relaxed, but still near Arnhem and Nijmegen”

I loved the location, 8 mins from Papendal, 10 mins bus into Arnhem! I also loved the general theme too, orange and vintage, very nice Kitchen with most of the things you need, little freezer, kettle etc. Very nice host who knew local history, nearest supermarket and lots of info about surrounding museums and places of interest. All round, great place to stay with a lovely host.

Everything was perfect! Awesome area, very green and a lot to do around. Plus very big bedroom, very comfortable bed!

Was for business in the nearby Oranjekazerne. House is located outside the city with forrest all around. Apartment is on first floor under the roof. Car parking is private just in front of the house. No TV but an old turntable with a large collection of old vinyl records from the 70s. Unfortunately, if you are old enough to know this music, the sound of the loud speakers is not well.

“Delightful host and apartment in excellent location for visiting Arnhem and the nearby national park”

Our host, Jop, was absolutely delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. He speaks fluent English and has decorated the apartment in an attractively idiosyncratic style, which makes it much more interesting than the usual bland self-catering places. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is excellent. The pancake house next door is very good and there are pleasant walks just across the road in pretty woodland. We were particularly interested in the local wildlife and loved visiting the nearby Hoge Veluwe National Park with its brilliant art gallery. The WW2 history is awesome and we found a visit to the Airborne Museum was essential. Arnhem is now rebuilt and wonderfully landscaped with lots of tree planting.

“Fantastic, quirky escape from the city”

What an fantastic host, Jop, and venue. The apartment has an amazing collection of 1970s retro furniture and items so it was a wonderful funky trip down memory lane. Jop was incredibly kind and it so nice to be personally welcomed by the owner - so much better than an anonymous key code! The house is in a beautiful quiet, forested area so ideal for those who want some time out with the famous pancake house handily next door!

“Calm location”

I liked the location - it is near the woods. Bus stop was right in front of the private property. There is a restaurant very close - we have been there, and let's say it wasn't terrible 😊. But 17€ for a pancake which has filling just in the middle... The host - Jop is a kind and helpful person. We were in the park near the apartment, and he provided us with a map and explained it. He also offered to drive us to the station on our last day. The decorations were OK. The toilet and bathroom are modern.
