Overview
The Posada El Trasmerano is located in the town of Argoños, about 4 km from the Cantabrian coast. It has attractive gardens, a terrace, free Wi-Fi and free onsite parking. The colourful rooms have traditional wooden furniture and wonderful views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. Each of the rooms has a TV and a private bathroom. The quiet guest house has a children’s playground as well as a tour desk. Popular activities nearby include horse riding and hiking. The A-8 motorway is about 5 km away, and allows easy access to the entire north coast of Spain. Santander Airport is about 30 minutes away by car.

“Home from home”
The welcome was lovely, our room at the back of the property overlooked a beautifully kept garden..was cosy and had a lovely bath and shower. The breakfast was superb, so much to choose from. Lovely outside seating areas. Great location to visit Santander, Bilbao etc..

“Nice place away from the hustle and bustle.”
We had a room in the back and it was very peaceful and quiet. We arrived after hours but the host’s check in procedures were easy to follow.

“Really nice stay. Would come back”
We arrived late but they left us a key in the locker. There was no extra charge for arriving late. The place was in a very quiet area, really close to nature and perfect for relax. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was super nice and helpful.

“Good overnight stop.”
The staff were very helpful and although we spoke little Spanish, and likewise they spoke little English they went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The breakfast was exceptional, certainly rating amongst the highest we have enjoyed on the continent. The hotel throughout was spotlessly clean.
