An immaculate modern apartment built behind a medieval frontage on a beautiful square. It's extraordinary. We were met on arrival and parked our bikes underground. In decades of travelling I rarely give a 10 but this is really special.

We were expecting an apartment and it was - but more like a mini cottage with one bedroom upstairs. There’s a kitchen and a lounge area. Very new, very well equipped and comfortable. The apartment is one of several in a very tasteful development which struck me as a project perhaps to rescue a derelict old quarter near the castle. The apartment looks out onto the square, which is equally pristine, like a film set waiting for someone to make a medieval costume drama! There’s ample secure private parking - underground. Amazing what can be done with money, imagination and a respect for the history of a place.
