The staff were fantastic. Cecile really had to work hard to get me a taxi when I moved out due to heavy rains and flooding. They also packed me a lunchbox for my nightbus to Cusco. So nice!

The location is excellent, within walking distance to the square, and with many quality eating and drinking places nearby. The beds are super comfy, the best I've slept on in years. The staff a lovely and helpful. The views from the rooftop are excellent (see picture). Breakfast was basic but good.

“Good enough for short stays”
It's perfectly located close to the main square and many great restaurants and coffee shops. The staff is also really nice, and the whole process was simple and fast. The room was small, but had all the things we needed for our two-night stay.

“Cl ean, comfortable, warm showers and a mostly decent sleep - 10/10 would reccomend”
The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom had hot water! This place is super close to the Plaza de Armas so it was really convenient for trips in and out of town. Laundry service was quick and the view from the rooftop was pretty special. Oh and laundry service was quick. Despite the cons I’ve listed below I would stay here again

“Peaceful, Comfortable, and Perfectly Located in Arequipa”
La Puerta del Sol was the perfect home base for my time in Arequipa. The beds were really comfortable, the rooms were dark and quiet at night (great for sleeping!), yet filled with natural light during the day. The space is clean, well-ventilated, and very peaceful. One of my favorite features was the beautiful rooftop terrace, where they serve a lovely breakfast each morning. It’s the perfect way to start the day with fresh air and views of the city. The staff was wonderful - friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Laundry service was easy and convenient, and the location couldn’t be better: perfect for exploring Arequipa on foot. I slept so well here and felt totally at ease throughout my stay. I'm so thankful for such a great experience and would definitely return!

“Great stay in a fab location”
- freshly cooked eggs for breakfast - great location - staff friendly (they don’t speak much English so translator app needed if don’t speak Spanish) - tours booked at desk are reasonable rate - room was very clean and comfortable
