“Lovely hotel with super friendly owners in great location of Arequipa”

I had the best time staying at Hostal Virreinal. I was here for 4 nights and it was so far my favourite accommodation in Peru. The owner of the hotel was so amazing, welcoming and friendly! They really want you to feel good and welcomed there. :) My room was clean and I had a mountain view from my window. The shower was the best I had so far in Peru! The water gets warm quite quickly. I really liked the location of the hotel as well. It is located in a small and quite street and you can walk to the city center in like 5minutes. Honestly I’m so glad I stayed there and definitely recommend it.

Nice location, close to the centre but quiet and secluded. Helpful staff, and the terrace was really nice. Room well equipped.

Can communicate with staff and response promptly. Staff gave suggestions with heartful support when I was feeling unwell.

Great breakfast included, shower was the best we’ve had in South America (hot water and good pressure is hard to find), lovely staff, they allowed us to leave our bags while we did Colca Canyon and also gave us a free snack pack. The room was better than the photos. Ten mins walk from the main square

Staff were so lovely - very friendly and kind. Great location and we had a nice and spacious room. They even minded our bags for us while we did an overnight trek which was very much appreciated

“Pretty little guesthouse in quiet surroundings”

Nice small guesthouse in a quiet street near the center of Arequipa. The owners are very friendly and helpful, gave us an electrical heater for the cold nights. The sunny rooftop terrace has a stunning view of the mountains and is a great place to relax. Breakfast was on the terrace. They also provided avocado for people who did not want eggs and packed breakfasts for trips with an early start. The room had a comfortable bed and clean bathroom with a good hot shower.

“Perfect stay in Arequipa!”

Great location, short walk into the central town area. Very comfy and good sized rooms :) The staff were super lovely and helped us with arranging taxis to and from the airport as well as assisting with tour recommendations etc.

Spaceous and conveniant storage in the room, friendly hosts, free and flexible luggage storage, fast laundry, hot shower, good beds

Nice little room with comfortable bed and and clean bathroom. Hostal lies in a quite „dead end“ road and easy 10-15min walking distance to Plaza des Armas. Staff was very friendly and helpful (e.g. same-day laundry service). Breakfast is served on the rooftop, that offers some beautiful views of Chachani and Misti volcanos. We really enjoyed our stay.

The staff are great and very helpful and friendly Nice quiet location for a good sleep. Walkable to main square, you get to see extras than staying on the main location.

Fantastic Hostal. Immaculate, large room, super hot showers, great breakfast on the roof terrace overlooking the city and volcanoes. Lovely people who run the place. Just absolutely spot on all round.
