Overview
Hotel La Rivera is located in Las Arenas de Cabrales, just outside the Picos de Europa National Park. It offers large rooms with satellite TV and a private bathroom. The hotel is just 500 metres from the Cabrales Cheese Museum, dedicated the famous locally-produced cheese. The River Cares, famous for trout and salmon fishing, also runs through the town. The Picos de Europa is a popular destination for adventure sports, and staff can organise various outdoor activities. The Covadonga Lakes are 20 km away. There is no parking at the hotel, but free public parking is available nearby. This cannot however be reserved.

“Hospitable and comfortable stay”
We are on a driving holiday through northern Spain and wanted to visit Cabrales and see the mountains and sample the local cheese. The Hotel La Rivera is centrally located, we were warmly greeted and had a very comfortable room. The people of Cabrales were friendly and welcoming.

Very clean throughout the hotel. Good comfortable bed. Great location for exploring the Piccos mountains on a motorbike. Plenty of restaurents in the town with a good choice of food.

Fantastic location; in the centre of town and perfect for exploring Picos de Europa. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. We had a mountain view which was great. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

“All in all great value but noisy inside”

“Good clean hotel in a nice town”
We had no breakfast but there are plenty of restaurants around, parking is free about 40 metres from the hotel, clean rooms with daily cleaning, one person at the reception speaks English. He was very helpful. Lift works well.

“Nice stay for hiking the Picos”
Great location. Friendly staff. Breakfast starts late (8am) so we bought some breakfast at the supermarket. Great place if you’re planning to hike the Ruta del Cares. Las Arenas is a nice village.
