Overview
Offering easy access to the N360 Motorway, Hostal Escarla is a 40-minute drive from the ski slopes at Boi-Taüll. Just 1 km from the village of Arén, it offers rooms with views of the Aragonese Pyrenees. Each bright heated room at Hostal Escarla has free Wi-Fi and a TV. All rooms have a private bathroom. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the Escarla’s dining room. There is a small selection of restaurants and cafes in the centre of Arén. The ski slopes at Baqueira Beret can be reached in just over an hour by car, while Posets-Maladeta Natural Park is approximately 40 km away. Lleida is a 90-minute drive from the guest house.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Escarla, a friendly, comfortable, quiet location after a long ride. The hotel manager or owner greeted us on our arrival and despite the language barrier, was very informative about the hotel, the Wifi and the places we could eat. The Escarla is not 5* and does not pretend to be. It is good economy accommodation with a warm welcome. We loved having our own private balcony which had lovely views towards the mountains. This was well equipped with table and chair to sit out on too. Shower and bathroom were ensuite and were basis but all worked well with some toiletries provided. The hotel has a bar run by the same people and they coffee was good, as was the service. We bought pastries and beers there too and prices were very reasonable. There was a choice of a few restaurants to have an evening meal at too, making this a very enjoyable, relaxed stay. Very biker friendly too, excellent parking right outside.

“Just a good place to stop and rest after a long drive.”
There are two good restaurants on each side of the hostal. After a very long hike we were happy to have a delicious meal and a glass of wine. The location is about one hour from Vall de Boi; only 20 minutes to Congost. The town of Aren just up the hill is a small medieval town that is fun to visit. Our room had a big balcony.
