“Gorgeous Look Out”

Le look out is set in a beautiful scenery....just above the tidal sea....where the water comes in or goes out every six hours....offering a stunning view of the white sand spirals left by the water..... The house is warm and cosy and we can see the sea from the lounge thru big windows like screens... Brigitte is a very nice host and put a lot of work and love in this place. She really welcome us with her heart. Everything was clean and lovely. I highly recommend the lookout!

“Worth a trip to Ardara just to stay here”

One of the most hospitable, comfortable and gorgeous stays we've had. The hosts were so warm and friendly and have created a space for people to meet and chat together, all while looking out over the most extraordinary remote beach and mountains. It still remained warm, whimsical and homey while having excellent attention to detail. We got the best recommendations of our trip from Bridgit, who was a fountain of great advice and a wonderful person to talk with. If we lived closer we would be regulars.

“The View Point by name and by nature”

The view from the accommodation is second to none... and really has to be seen to be appreciated. The accommodation is set within a few mins drive from Ardara and accommodation boasts a few car park spaces to the rear. The common room/living area is cosy and has TV, books and a good atmosphere about it. Kitchen area has all that you may need and even a little cereal in the morning. No breakfast is advertised though usually hosts will offer a little surprise in the morning (we had egg on waffle, which was super tasty!) Fridge space and place to store food is welcome. Upstairs the front family room will have a view, the twin room has not. Beds/bedding was good and a good night's sleep was had. An electric blanket is offered for guests convenience and the place is artistically decorated which is a fun personal touch. Ardara is a short drive away with a filling station, pubs and restaurants/cafes.

The view was stunning, and the thoughtful touches in both the room and common areas made it feel like home. The shared bathroom was spotless, breakfast was a lovely surprise, and the kitchen was well-maintained. Clear instructions and plenty of parking made everything easy.

“A visit I'm sure to repeat”

Adrian and Brigitte were extremely helpful and welcoming, chatty, and prepared a healthy and varied breakfast. It was wonderful to have use of the kitchen at dinner time too. The house is in such a beautiful location, the views across the bay are stunning and the local beach was perfect for a morning dip. The beds were warm and comfortable and the room decor was excellent.

The very friendly host, as soon as she saw my two sons, both 2 meters tall, immediately changed the room where the children were supposed to stay for a more comfortable one, better suited for our “giants” (at no extra charge). The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished with everything you need. The views from the living room are stunning. We received plenty of great tips for the rest of our trip around the Donegal region.

Friendly hosts who welcome responsible pet owners! Great breakfasts also provided. Enjoyed the common eating and living area that allowed us to meet and chat with other guests.

Every aspect was stunning ... the attention to detail was second to none ..The views spectacular.. value for money fabulous .. there was no areas that I could fault ...Brigitte and Adrien saw to our every need and beyond ❤️.. it was a holiday I will never forget .. and Adrien's pancakes added a special touch . 😋 Goodbye until next time !!

Everything was perfect - clean, comfortable, arty & wonderfully organised. And the views were just stunning with magnificent picture windows & well placed seats to relax in & soak up the views. “A lovely house in a spectacular location”

This is a lovely, comfortable house in a fabulous location. The house itself is really well kitted out with all the amenities you need with some lovely creative touches. The view from the living room is spectacular. We stayed with a group of nine adults and the living room views provided a beautiful backdrop for relaxing and mealtimes. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and communication was very easy with swift responses at all times. The town was very close and had lovely shops with high-quality Donegal crafts. We enjoyed a really good session in one of the pubs one evening. We also really loved the Ardara area and it was a great base for exploring Donegal. We enjoyed listening to Irish being spoken in the Gaeltacht areas and especially enjoyed our visits to Sliabh Liag and the Maghera caves. We were also close enough to enjoy Glenveagh National Park and a hike up Errigal. We finished our stay with a visit to the local distillery where we bought some lovely locally produced whiskey. Ten out of ten for the Lookout and Ardara.
