Excellent location for individulas or small groups traveling by bicycle. Very good restaurant on-site with very nice small yard to sit outside. The restarurant served good Austrian food and drinks. Very tasty breakfast in the morning. Room was very clean. The combination of quite modern bathroom and very old building itself was a very positive surprise. Big garage for bicycles. Very nice and helpful personel.

Small, very quiet village, not far from highway. 5 minute walk to Danube. Mainly occupied by bikers. We arrived after 7. Immediately offered a salad with chicken and potatoes which was exactly what we wanted. Large room overlooking a quiet garden. Simply furnished, all very tasteful. Super walk in shower.

A very nice alternative on the right bank of the river to more expensive stay in Grein. Excellent food and value for money.

Superb service - we were served food and drinks in the garden (sitting under big umbrella) even when heavy rain thunderstorm hit the place. Really appreciate all staff in contact with guests was AUSTRIAN and speaking German (what was normal 5 years ago starts to be appreciated now). Great food.

The hotel is really charming in a beautiful village, surrounded with green nature. The rooms are very spacious, clean, nicely decorated with comfortable beds. We also had a balcony. The best part is the restaurant - we recommend club sandwich dish but also the vegetarian dishes are very inventive and tasty. Daniela is a master chef!

Our room was really nice. It had a private balcony overlooking the garden. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet, so we slept really well. We ate at the restaurant, and it was some of the best food we had on our trip. The breakfast was also good. We used the bicycle storage, which was a good size.

“Nice location for a weekend by the Donau river”

Great outdoor and indoor restaurant area and nice breakfast in a fantastic location for biking or relaxing during the weekend. The hotel is located in a village that has no much to see or to do, however it is literally 5-10 minutes walking distance away from the Donau river where swimming, fishing, jogging and relaxing is possible, I loved it! The hotel is also located aprox 15 minutes by bus away from Grein -which is totally worth to visit (the bus stop is right in from of the hotel) or one hour walking by the shore of the river. Hotels in Grein are a bit more expensive so this was a great middle-term solution. The sleeping room seemed to have been recently renovated, it was a bit hot but fine. The hotel is run by its owner, a very nice and friendly person.

one of my favourite stops on the Danube bike trail… lovely historic house with flowery courtyard dating back to the times when navigating the river was life threatening and one needed guidance from the ship navigator or Schiffsmeister… this is the man who then built the house… good food and courteous staff
