Our host Ludgero was incredible. He was so friendly and always happy to chat to us and gave us lots of fantastic recommendations on the island. The accommodation was absolutely spotless, he was always there to help with anything you might need and was more than happy to. Fantastic views, extremely comfortable beds, great facilities in the kitchen and clean bathroom. Will definitely be back!

“Best house in Madeira”

It was the best experience in my life! Amazing lication and amazing owner of the house. Calm, clean area, with stunning view! All the rooms have balconies, you are provided with towels, bathroom was always clean, toilet paper was always available. There was a washing machine for your clothes just for 3 euro. Birds singing in the garden in the morning and in the evening were charming! The owner deserves a Nobel prize for being an amazing person, it was such a pleasure to talk with him about everything and nothing! Thank you so much!

“Comfy stay in a quiet place”

Great view, parking close by, cleanliness, there was a kitchen available, laundry service, great hosts, quiet place, close to the calheta beach. Bonus points that the Artists House is a sponsor of a local animal shelter!

An exceptionally good choice of hotel! Starting with the Caleta area—very picturesque in the southwestern part of the island, but quiet and cozy (we didn't consider Funchal right away, as we wanted to be away from parties and the city in general)—to the house itself and its owner. The owner deserves a special mention, as he donates the profits from renting out the house to an animal and bird shelter! Thank you for meeting us (due to some issues with car rental in Funchal, we arrived much later) and for being so open to conversation! By the way, the house has a name for a reason, but I won't reveal it here)) The house has clear rules of residence, which makes the stay there comfortable and environmentally friendly for all cohabitants, with whom, by the way, we also had a great time over dinner. As for our room, it had a bathroom with an ocean view. That's all I need))) I love having a bath in the bathroom! It's incredibly cool, especially after German apartments)) This vacation in Madeira will forever be something special and warm in our lives! We are very grateful for the hospitality and will definitely come back with friends!

The best accommodation we experienced in Madeira. A wonderful host with great energy, lots of helpful tips, and an incredible story that truly reflects the house itself. The place is very well maintained, with a stunning view from the terrace where you can watch the sunsets. I definitely recommend staying here :)

Perfect stay in a well-kept house. Very clean room as well as shared areas, such as kitchen & bathroom. The view from my room towards the sea was breathtaking. Furthermore, I was grateful having had the opportunity to use the washing machine. Ludgero has a very welcoming personality. I certainly would stay again here.
