Steffi was lovely and took great pains to make our stay enjoyable, including picking up some walking poles from the sports store for use on our arrival and recommending all sorts of activities which avoided the worse of the crowds.

Great room/house, nicely furnished and with a fully stacked kitchen. The staff was super helpful and nice (and with the help of Google Translate) the communication was pleasant. The views are great and the apartment is spacious with fast WiFi

Beautiful location, surroundings, grounds and facilities. Felt very relaxed staying at one with nature here. Gorgeous sunset lounge area and our balcony and deck was gorgeous. Apartment very comfortable and modern.

“Fabulous stay at Quinta Golfinho”

The location is fabulous. Beautiful garden, stunning view over the sea. And a really quiet hidden away spot. Our apartment was great too, with a generous terrace seating/dining area as well as inside lounge/diner. Alex and Steffi were wonderful hosts, and the option to have a fresh bread delivery each morning was a surprise and delight.

We rent the villa Palmeira for 2 people. It is a very Nice and pleasant Villa with amazing view on the Ocean. Very quiet: there is no noise during the day and the night. The villa is well equiped, nothing is missing. Garden is beautiful. Steffi and Alexander are very nice people, always ready to support us. If we come back on Madeira Island we will choose again this villa and we will recommend it.

“A home away from home”

It was a very lovely stay with a clean, modern rooms and generous equipment (e.g. Dishwasher). The whole complex lies surrounded by lush green banana plants and has a stunning view towards the ocean, a swing was recently installed which we loved. Moreover the hosts were very friendly and gave useful recommendations. A cherry on top for every animal lover are the chicken and cats strolling around.

Excellent location. The garden is beautiful and the sunset lounge is a wonderful spot to have your coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening. Steffi and Alex are great and take Steffi’s advice about tracking on the island, she knows all the tracks…what is worth, where to start from where to stop to eat… Much was said about the way you access the villa and how steep the road is. Well, it is steep but that is Madeira… a lot of roads are like that and coming from a flat city can be intimidating but is part of the experience😊 Thank you Steffi for the bananas! Absolutely delicious!

The apartment with two bedrooms/two bathrooms were exceptional in comfort and cleanliness. You cannot beat the ocean view from the terrace, especially when the dolphins swim by and the only noise is the rustling of the banana tree leaves. The kitchen is fully equipped and the showers are even nicer than we have at home. The hosts are available if you need them and you'll hardly notice other guests. This is the place to be for an off the beaten path, peaceful holiday. Beautiful beaches and walks are close by. We never drove more than hour and explored the entire island.

“Perfect apartment with a sublime view!!!”

Steffi and Alex are very friendly and speak perfect English and German. They are happy to accommodate your requests (should you have any). The apartment is fantastic and the view is truly sublime. You can look out over the ocean from the lazy couch on the terrace. During breakfast we were surprised by a group of dolphins jumping through the water. Steffi pointed this out to us! Fantastic!!! 'Golfinho' means dolphin in Portuguese. Now we know why it's called 'Quinta Golfinho'!

Our stay at Quinta Golfinho was lovely, the accommodation, facilities and surrounding were beautiful. Steph was a brilliant host, we picked herbs from the garden for cooking and enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the sea! Exceptional 😊

“Beautiful, serene and so relaxing.”

The villa is pure luxury, everything you could possible want for a relaxing holiday. Every possible way has been made to ensure fantastic views of the sea and wonderful laid out gardens are there for all. Steffi and Alex are fabulous hosts constantly working to keep the complex clean and looking its best. The bonus was a lovely bottle of bubbly on our arrival which set the tone for what was a beautifull time at Quinta Golfinto.

“Unique paradise near Calheta”

We had an absolutely marvelous week at Quinta Golfinho. This little paradise lies hidden on the cliffs between the banana palms. On (15 min) walking distance of the harbor of Calheta. We loved (the herbs from) the garden, the cleanliness and comfort of the apartment, the nice bathrooms and showers, the amazing view at the sea, the dolphins in the distance, and the warm welcome+restaurant suggestions of the owners. Some practical comments: the owners invite guests above 10 years, very nice for couples/friends without kids, and also a good thing since not all terraces and sidewalks are toddler proof. We also loved the stylish musquito nets in front of the bedroom and side windows (even though the place was surprisingly low in musquitos anyway). It is all designed very clever and with good eye for detail. In our apartment the bedrooms are behind eachother, but in case you are with two couples; your bathroom is connected to your room, so no problems with nightly toilet breaks. And with 10 steps outside, you are in the living room without waking up anyone else.

Wonderful location on the cliff overlooking the ocean, the mansion - luxuriously furnished, cosy garden with exotic plants, and atmosphere provided by hosts Steffi and Alex - really unique!
