“Perfect stay!”

What a wonderful stay! The photos do not do it justice. Immaculately clean, stunning views, just perfect. Duerte was such a lovely person and helped us with our luggage. We also loved the eggs, wine and bananas which were left for us on our arrival. Thank you!!

Duarte met us at the car and helped carry our bags down. He talked us through everything in the house and was quick replying via booking.com with any questions we had. The villa is beautiful, a stunning view of the sea and sunset. Inside was clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen (plus an amazing outside kitchen with fire). The pool was chilly, it is February but we still enjoyed a quick dip! There is a few minutes walk up and down from the road to the villa, but it is through the banana farm and we enjoyed spotting lots of lizards on the way (with our 2 year old) The location was good for exploring the south of the island, near levada walks and beaches. Though you definitely need a car.

This is a wonderful house with stunning views. The house is very well equipped - everything had been thought of. It's peaceful and relaxing - often there is no sound of traffic. We rarely hire a car on holiday and got around using taxis. There were good restaurants at the beach and a supermarket. One thing I did whilst staying was to reserve the same time for next year - I've never done this before! There is a super bbq - really a fire pit - very enjoyable. For anyone with mobility problems there are quite a few steps and slopes down to the house - it would be worth contacting the host. Duarte was extremely helpful to us with our luggage.

Stunning views, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Secluded and private. Beautiful garden, very helpful owner. Highly recommended! The only thing to note (for some people) is that there is a bit of a walk (a minute or 2) down a path and some steps from the road to get to the property, so not suitable for those with mobility issues. However we did not find this a problem. Parking on the road was always easy, and the short walk from the road meant that it was quiet and more private, which was perfect for us… And the owner was very helpful with helping us with the luggage transfer to and from the property at the beginning and end of the trip. We will definitely be back :-)

Amazing view, local garden you can use. The host was super helpful and had a great character. Grocery stores and a few local cafe's nearby. The house actually looked better than in the photos which is very rare :)

Amazing views from the beautiful gardens. A lovely breeze at the pool and more sheltered at the house for colder days. The house had everything. Just be aware there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms...the unit is situated in the open plan living area. Comfy beds and good quality bedding. Our host left a fabulous food basket of eggs, wine, bananas and cookies. He also left custard apples which are fab. It is a 5 min drive to Calheta with many restaurants and a pingo doce for groceries. We had some great weather for the time of year.

It was the best holiday home we have ever been. The owner is very friendly, helpful and gave us fruits, vegetables and eggs for free. It was very clean and the facilities are spacious and very well equipped. The view is absolutely stunning and one feels like in paradise. Thanks so much for this great experience!
