“Perfect holiday”

We had a very pleasant stay in the Captain's View apartment - our second time there. The view from the terrace is lovely with plenty of space for eating and sitting. The apartment is well equipped, clean and spacious. Great shower. Very comfortable large bed. Nice restaurants and boat trips in Calheta a short drive away. Parking on the road outside. Helen and Chris live above and messaged us to get in touch if we needed anything. We love Casa Serena.

Fabulous apartment in a stunning and convenient location. Easy access to nearby trails and sites. Supermarket 8min away and local quiet bars within easy walking distance (our favourite for pre and postcode hike refreshments was Bar Africano). Hosts, Helen & Chris, are superb: providing thoughtful welcome gifts and lots of little extras that make Casa Serena a geuine home from home. They discretely on hand if you need them, quick to reply to any messages and available for support if needed. We absolutely loved our stay, so much so we booked again for next year on day 1 of our trip. The facilities are excellent and the views from the balcony means every day starts with a real feel good factor. Thank you Helen & Chris.

“Lovely scenic spacious apartment, great hosts and excellent vfm”
Amazing large apartment with massive balcony with stunning views. Very comfortable large bed, massive bedroom with excellent hanging and storage space, well equipped and comfortable living and kitchen area, fresh wild mint growing in the garden so lovely for fresh mint tea throughout the day! Hosts were welcoming and helpful. Clear instructions for accessing the apartment. Excellent value for money for large hillside apartment with amazing views.

“Relaxing stay with breathtaking view!”
We loved our stay at Casa Serena. The apartment is spacious, clean and well maintained. We were welcomed with fruits and a bottle of wine. Helena is very friendly and helpful. We loved the view from the terrace where we enjoyed our meals. We would love to come back!

“Quiet, relaxing place with a great view.”
Large comfortable apartment with a nice size bedroom, good kitchen facilities a nice lounge area with a nice sofa a TV and even found some channels in English and some film channels where you could restart films that were already on. There is even a Bluetooth speaker in the room so I took mine for no reason. The balcony has a lovely view over the sea and local area. You definitely need a car here and parking is on the road outside. It is halfway up a steep hillside. The local supermarket in calheta we found very good. This is only about a 5 minute drive away and there are a number of restaurants in calheta on the front. There is one restaurant within walking distance which took us about 15 minutes down a dimly lit path and quite a few steps and through a banana plantation, all good fun though! For the west side of the island we found this location great, only about 20 mins to the top of the island. A very quiet relaxing place to stay, perfect for us.
