Overview
Arhontiko offers 4-star traditional accommodation, 300 metres from the centre of Arhanes, a picturesque town built at the foot of the sacred mount Jiouktas. Built in 1893, Arhontiko is a fine example of 19th century inland Cretan architecture. There are 4 independent apartments (70 m² each) over 2 levels, with an interior staircase. They are fully-equipped and can accommodate 2 to 4 people, all year round. Each has a spacious day room with fireplace, a master bedroom with vintage brass bed and 2 single beds in the day room area. Apartments offer all modern comforts.

“Good village location, nice restaurants, lovely pool and convenient for visiting Knossos.”
Good location a 10 minute walk from the main square. The pool and outdoor loungers were very pleasant, especially as we had the soace to ourselves.

We could access our keys via a locker. Communication with the host was excellent. There was a small problem, which was solved promptly. There were several restaurants on 10 minutes walking distance. Parking at the side of the street. Quiet neighborhood.

“Excellent paradise in the mountains”
Location was terrific in the mountains. Arriving at night and not knowing exactly where we were….what a surprise with the view from the balcony in the morning. Town has some fabulous restaurants. Walking distance to main square. Comfortable stay. Easy to get to other locations with private transport. Hosts were very good to us, arriving late with a few questions. Totally recommend.

Very beautiful renovated apartments! The owners kept so many of the original characteristics of the house but managed to give a modern twist! All the facilities are very well preserved, the cleaning was on point and the check in & check out easiest than ever! The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming!

we were excited immediately upon arrival. the yard is very beautiful with flowers and a very large space for relaxation. the apartment is very comfortable, bright with very nice decoration and very clean. Anna welcomed us, treated us to homemade sweets, they were very tasty, and gave us all the necessary information comfortable bed with a pleasant smell on the pillows and sheets, it was perfect, we will definitely come again

“TRUE AUTHENTIC CRETE”
Our choice to stay at VILLA ARHONTIKO was an excellent choice. It is a real mansion built by the owner's grandfather in 1890. Beautiful and harmonious architecture combines stone and wood. Very comfortable apartment, very beautiful decoration, beautiful colors and bright. There is a large yard with many flowers where we relaxed and enjoyed our wine or coffee. The owner Anna was there for anything we needed and gave us information about the village and the area. We will be back again for more days.

A lovely, split-level converted traditional building with lots of space and a sweet interior garden/patio area. Archanes is a great village with a lively square full of locals (nearly all men!) And the centre is an easy walk down the hill. There is a good choice of great value bars and restaurants - cheaper than the more touristsy towns. A good place to stay while visiting Knossos and Heraklion, without the crowds.

I like the care from the owner, they even have prepared 2 kinds of pillow (hard and soft) to choice...the view and the location is excellent, it is a great value for money. the apartment is maintained with a lot of love.

“TRUE CRETE”
TRUE MANSION AUTHENTIC CRETE. everything was perfect, large apartment - suite with very nice decoration with a mansion style. elegant furniture, (some antiques) cleanliness beautiful - comfortable bed. the hosts Anna and Manolis were there for whatever was needed, kind and discreet. we will definitely come again for more days.
