Set in a former convent dating back to the 17th-century, Le Couvent is located in Apt in the heart of the Luberon region. It features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, terrace with sun beds and free Wi-Fi. The rooms with garden views have floor-to-ceiling windows and high ceilings. Some also have exposed wooden beams. All have a flat-screen TV and bathroom with bath or shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. Every morning, a continental breakfast featuring homemade jam is served in the large dining room by the fireplace or in the garden, on the terrace. Restaurants are located 50 metres away. Le Couvent is a good starting point to explore the Luberon hill-top villages. Bikes can be rented on site and guests can go hiking, tree or rock climbing in the area. They can also drive 8 km to Villars’s golf or 18 km to visit Gordes. Roussillon is a 9-km drive away while Sénanque Abbey is 25 km away.

“Unconventional convent”
Very convenient location and in a beautiful, historic building which was once a convent. Friendly staff and nice continental breakfast (payable extra, at €12 pp) Pretty garden and a couple of nice sun terraces. Our studio apartment was on the second floor and was just right for our needs, with a couple of gas hobs and a microwave and fridge, plus a small rooftop terrace. There's also a cosy sitting room available for simply reading and relaxing if required.

“A 3 day stay in apt while touring other areas in Provence.”
This was a nicely restored convent which has retained the authentic character of the original building as it was when the nuns lived there . It was so much nicer than staying in a generic hotel . The room was huge and had a lovely breakfast in the morning . The only negative was the coffee . It was awful.

Large, comfortable room (superior). Easy parking in the square next to the property. Lovely little swimming pool to cool off in and a terrace for relaxing at the end of the day. Breakfast was delicious.

“Perfect location, beautiful hotel and amazing staff.”
The location of Le Couvent was perfect. It was very easily accessible to the town of Apt, located just off the town centre, which made it very walkable. The hotel is situated next to a large free car park with lots of spaces so was easy with our hire car. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The apartment was the perfect size for myself and a friend, with a well equipped small kitchen area, indoor and outdoor dining area on the private balcony. Room was also spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anybody visiting the area.
