Overview
Set in the Sondrio Pass, this Art Nouveau house offers unique rooms with flat-screen satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. Aprica town centre is next door and parking is free. Dating back to the 1900s, Relais Villa Brioschi was a favourite retreat of Nobel Prize winner Camillo Golgi. The property retains original features such as fireplaces and characteristic tiled floors. All elegant rooms come with a minibar and private bathroom. Some rooms offer a wooden balcony and a hot tub. Breakfast at the Brioschi is buffet style, and is served in the dining room with its hand-painted ceiling and views of the surrounding mountains. In the winter, ski storage is provided. The Baradello slopes are just 50 metres away. Buses to Tresenda Train Station leave from Aprica centre, a 10-minute walk away. Lake Como is 70 km away, and Milan can be reached in under 3 hours by car.

“Very friendly and lovely family run business!”
Very old (1902 I think) hotel with period setting and decor, lighting etc. Probably not for everyone but I liked it ! Being able to leave bags for the afternoon after checkout was nice too.

We arrived on a rainy cool day, it was nice to be able to turn on the heating in September and have warmth everywhere in the room. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast could have been better.

“Good place for a tour in Aprica”
It is at a good location, in the center of Aprica, but still a quiet place, not at the main road. We arrived at late evening, but it meant no problem.

The building is nice but the rooms make you feel you are into an old building that still needs a bi of work to be properly restored. It is very clean, tidy, full of character but still something is "missing". There was no adaptor for the plug, so the refrigerator/mini bar was not working, there were no chairs and table in the balcony, o hair dryer. We had to cancel our reservation and stay at the other facilities. This modern facility was super clean, roomy but this time there were other things missing. Not even soap in the bathroom. No hair dryer, no place to put the shampoo bottle in the shower cabin. The refrigerator was turned off so there was no cold place to store our heat sensitive goods for almost a day (until the refrigerator started operating at its proper cooling capacity). The owner was immediate in replying to our messages when we faced all the problems we had. Her employee arrived and tried to assist, solving some of the problems, not been able to sort out some others. If you need a clean place with hot water (but no soap and just a tiny bottle of shampoo for two persons for two days) then you are OK with this host. We are sure that all the problems can be sorted out but all of them were too much for us. We won't go there again. But if the owner pays attention to her guests comments and decides to sort the problems out both the old and the new buildings will be worthy to visit. Maybe we were unlucky......

Lovely old private hotel. We had a room with large whirlpool bath and steam shower, although the shower did not work. Quirky, different sort of hotel, very pleasant.

“Good experience but some negative points”
The location of the place is really good, 2 minutes far from the skilift and the breakfast is also wonderful (they also had gluten-free options). The staff were very welcoming and accommodating.
