“A charming farmhouse and family”

The family were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The apartment was spacious and well appointed. They left a very thoughtful card when we arrived as it was our honeymoon and flowers freshly picked from their garden. We had lovely generous meals delivered a couple of times for an extra charge. They surprised us with a few treats, too, like homemade cake. The fresh milk from the farm daily was great. They gave helpful advice about where to visit and were very friendly and warm. The farm is set in a beautiful remote location at high altitude, and you can see the stars and hear the cow bells at night. There is a beautiful hike to the nearby village where you can get good food that begins from the farm. But only for the reasonably fit! Trauttmansdorff castle is accessible within about an hour and the spa at Merano. A nice local eatery with an amazing view a short drive away. Bolzano is relatively close for groceries and plenty to do there. San Michele is about a 20 min drive and you can get pizza to go or eat lovely food in the restaurants there. We also managed to visit Lago di Carezza, Alpi di Siusi and the Torri di Vajolet. We also saw Otzi in the Bolzano archeaological museum and visited the beautiful cathedral there. On our way to our next stop we stopped at Trentinto and saw the tower and museum there.
