Overview
Situated at the foot of the Säntismassiv Mountain Range and the Kronberg Mountain, the Landgasthof Eischen features a traditional Appenzell restaurant with a terrace, a spa area and was renovated in 2012. The hotel offers guests a wellness area with a sauna area, an outdoor hot tub, a relaxation room with views to the valley, and an indoor swimming pool with a hydro-flow system and views of the Appenzell landscape and the Voralberg Alps. The family-run Hotel Landgasthof Eischen offers panoramic mountain views, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a playground for kids. All rooms have a private bathroom and a satellite TV. The centre of Appenzell is a 7-minute drive or bus ride away.

Some cleanings must be done properly on terrace ( smoking cigarettes rest everywhere on the terrace… was not cleaned at all…) and to scare the guest with flying umbrellas on the thunderstorm. All rest was perfect, specially the hospitality .

We stayed in a huge illuminated room that had a view of several sides of the hotel and an exit to a large terrace. The view is beautiful and we loved how big the apartment was. The whole area was very clean and well maintained.

“Great stay in Appenzell!”
Very welcoming staff - we are only English speaking and no issues were had. Hotel/grounds are simple but super clean and tidy. Restaurant was great - everyone friendly and food was delicious. It’s about a ten minute drive/20 minute hike into town. Nice to have both options! We hiked from here as well and the area is beautiful with many hiking options right out the front door. Room/view were both amazing!

“A great hotel for lovers of camping”
The Wellness facilities, restaurant and hotel room were perfect. There was also a good choice at breakfast. I can particularly recommend this hotel for lovers of campsites as its in the middle of one.

Absolutely everything: the view is beautiful, the staff are friendly, the room is super spacious and clean, the restaurant food was above expectations and breakfast has everything you might want! Overall I would recommend this place to anyone
