“Enjoyable”

Older ryokan style guesthouse with a traditional feel. Rooms were dated but comfortable and clean and we enjoyed the thermal hot tub. The staff were very helpful with local advice. Nearby restaurants, Lawson and boutique beer.

This stay was amazing. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, and even made us an oragami apple for when we left which said “please come visit again”. If you’re wanting to stay in asamushi this hotel is the place to stay!!

The private onsen is the best. ☆☆☆☆☆

The room was very clean, and I could see the mountains and the sea directly from the window. For a reasonable price, I was able to reserve a private onsen every day after tax. The staff were very friendly, and the location is very close to the station.

Old fashioned hotel that has seen better days, but that adds to its charm if luxurious pampering not an essential. Bargain price as to be expected. Fairly spacious room with comfortable beds. Quiet at night. Friendly staff. Cute cat visits the place for food.

“Gorgeous ryokan with very friendly staff”

Very clean rooms and probably one of the best mattresses (western style bed) i've ever slept on. 3 private onsens available, one of which is outdoors but without much of a view so you have privacy. Perhaps consider checking in a bit earlier because the private onsens are quite popular. Fantastic location right near the beach. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

“Second time at this rustic ryokan”

Our second time staying here, it’s a rustic ryokan, and with access to privately booked onsen, that bit in particular is definitely appealing. Friendly faces and always helpful, at all hours of the day. Good place to enjoy snow shoe hiking if there is snow, which we had lots of!

“Worth visiting”

The location is very close to train station but no noise can be heard. Very beautiful traditional rooms with amazing ocean view. Nice private baths. Did not visit public baths. Lovely staff, clean, nice robes/kimonos and slippers provided, tea provided. In January private onsen baths were almost all available and we reserved two of them for 45 minutes each.

Inreally loved thw ambience inside. It was winter and my family wanted a traditional house. However it was winter, so I had to find a ryokan with a heater. This was a perfect match.

It was in a quiet location and overall clean and comfortable. Quick stroll over to the beach. There is an eating area down in reception and you can also order in if you want. You can book a private onsen also.

“Lovely ryokan in a very small seaside town”

The town is outside of the main area of Aomori and is a small beachside area. It was very quiet with minimal options for dinner available as the Ryokan was not serving meals at the time that we went. A young couple have opened a craft brewery across the road and there is an authentic ramen restaurant a few doors down. There is a small cafe called Apricot, across the road run by a lovely husband and wife. The ryokan was lovely. The staff friendly, the onsens were great and you were able to book a private onsen without a problem. The rooms were well equipped and view from the room was lovely.
