Beautiful onsen with outdoor bath. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinner served. The staffs were also friendly to engage my 4 year old child.

“Well designed onsen ryokan”

Booked the twin room with private onsen bath. The wooden tub had a slope which was perfect for bathe. Windows could be opened for the perfect mix of cold air/warm bath, and there was also a mesh keeping insects out. Staff were very friendly. The place was just a 45mins day trip away to either Hirosaki or Aomori city, also extremely close to Hakkoda and the snow corridor. Lastly, there is a small waterfall right behind the building which i personally loved as the sounds of water falling (akin to raining) is very soothing in a cold, quiet environment. Free parking!

We had the most fantastic three days at the hotel. We stayed 3 days in a mini suite. The public bath was spectacular and we enjoyed the outdoor bath in the snow. Dinner was lovely. Every evening we had a different collection of 9 courses. The wine list was very good. The Breakfasts were excellent. They vairied between a buffet when the hotel was busy and traditional breakfast when it as quiet. It snowed the three days were stayed which was lovely.

The food was excellently prepared but you had better like traditional Japanese food as there is no alternative for dinner and some days for breakfast. The first morning I was served a box of cold vegetables, meat and seafood for breakfast the second we had a western style buffet.

Hotel is in a beautiful setting by the river,good location for experiencing autumn colours and Oirase Gorge. Staff were extremely accommodating and provided special treatment for a birthday, lovely onsen, steam room and massage chairs. High quality meals

Staffs are very helpful. We arrived slightly early on the first day, the staff helped to speedily prepare the room and allowed us early check-in. Dinners on the two nights were different and both were good. Free shuttle bus service to Hakkoda Ropeway is out of our expectation. Scenery at the backyard near the shrine was amazing especially around 3 to 4pm before the sunset (14 Oct).

“Gorgeous stay in the mountains of Aomori”

The staff were attentive and friendly. The Japanese-style room was gorgeous with a beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious and the kaiseki dinners were just absolutely fantastic. We felt absolutely spoiled by our visit here.

Dinner and breakfast included was great. Close to Aomori and easy drive to Oirase gorge and Lake Towada. Lovely onsen.

“Good food, nice environment”

Everything's good I'd say. Not many people staying there and it's very quiet. Lots of insects and wildlife, could have bears lurking around but I didn't see any, thankfully. Not really that kind of place you'd like to go for a walk after dinner, though. The dinner's marvellous, really. Just marvellous. It's traditional Japanese cuisine but served like a French dinner. There's even a shinto shrine nearby.
