The hosts were brilliant, breakfast was amazing

“Fabulous hosts”

The family and their 3 young children were all very lovely and welcoming. The breakfast and dinners were filling and tasty. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the beds were comfortable. They took an interest in our stay and helped us plan our activities.

The night I arrived, I didn't get there until past midnight. The owner was totally okay with that. He continued to be incredibly helpful for the whole stay. His wife, is the most amazing cook. I have been in Sri Lanka for two months and eaten a lot of brilliant food. I do not not say this lightly, the breakfasts were the BEST I have had in Sri Lanka, that is no small statement. My room was well designed and very clean. It was well located in the centre of town. Can't fault anything.

Such a pleasant surprise. The whole family was friendly and the kids are wonderful. The kids will ask questions, and they will speak - so just sit down and give them some time. They are cool, and very fluent in english all three of them. The breakfast was a lovely delicious start to the day. I got very good tips for what to see in Anuradhapura by the host. You can rent a simple but good enough bicycle to explore both the ancient city sights, and Anuradhapura as it is today, very easily as it is all very flat. The host was also helpful and gave me information on wich bus to get when i was leaving. The room was way beyond what i thought it would be and it was very comfortable. The room was clean the bed was good, the reading light was adjustable, the bathroom was clean and good standard, the hot shower unit was very good. I stayed in 102.

Our stay was amazing. Place was very very clean. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I would book this place again for sure. Staff also organice bicycle for us.

“A diamond hidden in city centre bustle!”

The rooms were really clean and the family were so attentive to us. We felt really cared for in every way; the breakfast and dinner we had were amazing and delicious, the room was so clean and had a really hot shower, the family assisted us with organising tours and transportation and were beyond welcoming and friendly. A diamond of a hotel!

“Price is ok but wouldn’t stay again.”

I stayed one night. Unfortunately, I missed seeing the photos before booking. Had I known that the accommodation is part of someone’s house and the entrance looks more like a shop on a busy road, I would not have booked it. The hotel name is certainly misleading. The room itself was fine, but the common areas were disappointing. There were many mosquitoes in the hallway and on the steps, and the walls were dirty and scribbled on, which made the place feel unclean. There was also an unpleasant smell, likely due to the rain. Parking is only available at the front of the property on a busy road. On the positive side, the welcome drink was tasty and the owners were friendly. Overall, while it was acceptable for the price paid, it does not fit a 3-star rating and I would not stay here again.

Central location, very friendly family who will make you feel super welcome, you even get a welcome fresh fruit juice! The owner is very kind and will help you get tuk tuks etc. and plan your trip!

I travelled a bit around Sri Lanka, changing guest houses quite often, and I have to say that the couple who own this guest house are the real super hosts. Kind, always helpful, always attentive and truly positive people. Even though it is not inside a particularly new building, they have managed to make this guest house be more than the sum of its parts. The room was truly spotless and the (extra) breakfast was amazing too. It is in a helpful location that makes going around by bike quite feasible, as the ancient city and sites are quite spread out in Anuradhapura. All in all it was a pleasant, warm experience, which exceeded my expectations.

We experienced most comfortable , well looked after stay @ Rajarata Reach Resorts. The hots Chammika and Upuli were amazing!!! Every room was super clean, nicely arranged and bathrooms were modern & clean. Plenty of amenities available. Also must commend the amazing food, Upuli is a fantastic cook and we enjoyed every meal👏. We recommend Rajarata Reach for all. We will be definitely choose them for our next visit.

The personal was really nice. The man lift me to the bus station, they were very attentive to me and are super friendly, i would recommend the hotel one hundred percent.

We had a wonderful stay in Anuradhapura with a very kind host family. The food was delicious and the organization of tuk-tuks was excellent.

Great stay, great people. Very clean, and the deluxe room has a gorgeous view, the food was delicious one of the best Kottu I've eaten. They even offered to take us to the railway station without any additionnal charge. Thank you !

“Wonderful stay in Anuradhapura”

Fantastic stay! The owner cooks personally and the food is really delicious. They also offered a bike rental service, which was very convenient for exploring the area. Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming — we truly felt at home. Highly recommended!
