We were so lucky to randomly meet our host and end up spending two days in our favorite accommodation in all of Sri Lanka, in Anuradhapura. The place is beautiful and cozy, with a large bathroom and delicious food at very fair prices. Our host Mohammed was incredibly welcoming and always ready to help us organize trips and activities at great prices. He had lots of ideas on what to do and made everything very easy for us. Even when I unfortunately got food poisoning, he was a huge help – he personally drove us to an affordable local doctor and took great care of us. We truly felt at home here, enjoyed our stay very much, and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!

Mohamad's HomeStay is simple but has everything you need. He was really helpful, taking me to visit everything there was to visit in the surrounding area. The property is clean and is really a 5-minute walk from the central street of the new town. It is also the same distance from the bus station. To top it off, Mohamad is also a super chef! He offers definitely delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners! I highly recommend!

It's located close to the city center and bus terminal. Breakfast was a lot and good. I stayed for 2 nights, and the first night, we chatted a bit and watched a cricket game on his TV. A nice, friendly host like written in the other reviews...

Short walking distance across train line to bus station, restaurants & supermarkets. Train station 3kms away & note the train to Colombo only runs at 5.40am & 2.40pm and not at 9.15am as appears on the web. Owner able to arrange tuk-tuk transport to Mihintale as well as tour of ancient city sights. Room had fan & optional AC for additional 1200Rps/day which was essential given 35 degree heat. Owner provided cold lemon juice on arrival which was very welcome.

Mhoammed was fantastic, he is really lovely. As we arrive he offered us some delicious rice and curry and some papaya juice, he help us to talk with the tuk tuk driver and move around in the city. The position Is excellent and also his food. The breakfast we had was really big and tasty. We also passed one night with his friends and was lovely. The bedroom is big, comfortable and clean. Really recommended! :)

Super quiet location, big sir lankan breakfast. It's a budget accomodation but does the job. Took room without AC but it's possible to ad it for 1200 rupees extra. Owner asked for my plans and give me some options but in a polite way so I could rest in peace. At arrival got free coconut, free refill of filtered water and on departure free ride to the bus station since he was going to town and took me by chance. I can recommend it.
