The view was nice, the staff very friendly and helpful. It is a homestay more than a hotel, the host lives next door, so if you need anything, can easily ask them, the cheap price only covers the facility, so anything else you need, you need to purchase this service, you can book breakfast or dinner from the host at $5 a meal, food is great!

Hosts incredibly friendly and kind. We were very impressed by the room - lovely and clean, great bed, great bathroom. Breakfast delicious if you’d like, and can eat with beautiful view. Easy to get a tuktuk to the town centre for restaurants and sightseeing etc. Thank you!

“Good Calm Option near Sacred city - Great Stay”

Nice rooftop with lake wind and mind relaxing stay. Room was well comfortable, clean and well smelled. AC hot water works well. They have milk food preparation kitchen at 2nd floor which is good for pilgrims. Rooftop has an outstanding view. Host is really kind attentive and nice guy.

It was truly wonderful to meet this incredibly kind and caring family!! This was one of the cleanest accommodations we stayed in during our trip to Sri Lanka. The hosts are genuinely warm and attentive: hot water works instantly, the air conditioning is perfect, wifi not super fast but perfect for remote work, there are very few insects, and the place is immersed in nature. The wife cooks absolutely amazing food — we highly recommend trying all the dishes. They also helped us a lot with practical information, including where to find affordable, high-quality clothes suitable for entering temples. They went above and beyond for every question or need we had, even simple curiosities. During my birthday, they surprised me by buying a cake with my name on it and absolutely delicious. It was truly an unforgettable stay, and we really didn’t want to leave!

“Calm and comfortable with exceptional hospitality”

We absolutely loved staying at this place, it was like we had a family there. The hotel is in a very calm residential area, with nice gardens and an amazing view of the Tissa Wewa lake. We had a room with two big beds, very comfortable, clean and with everything you need. We had breakfast and dinner there. They served us on a lovely terrace, very well kept, with nice plants and a view of the lake. The breakfast was great and abunant and we loved the home cooked curries and sides at the dinners .The hosts, Mr. Sasanka and his family treated us extremely well, they are very kind and noble people and always with a smile and quickly attending all your needs. Mr Sasanka also arranged us a gentleman with a tuktuk who made us a tour of the main sights of Anuradhapura. He was also extremely kind and helpful and all at a very reasonable price. We would love to return to this place with more time and do highly recommend it.

The host is incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had modern and functional appliances. Fast internet connection (maybe fibre?) instead of the slow 4G access point most guesthouses have. The Sri Lankan breakfast was huge and very tasty. Bonus points for the large rooftop area with sweeping views on the lake and stupas. Very recommended.

Ideal location for a short stay in Anurdahpura Very clean room and toilets with 2 doube beds , Ac and hotvwater. Easily fit 4 people Top floor has a dining area and tea coffee facilities but there is no restaurent on site Freindly hosts, offered options for Breakfast and Dinner. About 10 to 15 mins drive to main city shops restaurents and sacred sites. Recommend to have a car or mode of transport

“Loved our stay!”

Sasanga and his wife were wonderful hosts. They are very helpful and friendly. Sasanga is always with a smile and that itself would make anyone’s day beautiful. The place was very clean with a modern bathroom and located in a convenient location. Several plants were nicely placed to give a more naturalistic touch. Our rooms were in the 3rd floor and it had a designated dining area at same level with beautiful lake view. Therefore, we don’t really have to go down for our meals. They provide delicious home cooked meals at reasonable price, all brought to your level and arranged at the dining area nicely. We always ordered breakfast and dinner here so that we can refresh ourself before having meals rather than eating outside with sweaty cloths (Anuradhapura is very hot region). Laundry service is also provided at the accommodation at small extra cost which is very convenient and much needed for warm place like this. We can go to the top level and enjoy sunrise if we wake up early. Sasanga also helped us to arrange a place for our driver. We totally enjoyed our stay at this place. Thanks to Sasanga and his wife :)
