Even though they have a private residence off the dorm, you never seem to see/hear them come or go. They're like little Ninjas! However, they're certainly on hand if and when you need them. Even down to Ma offering to make me her local brew for all ailments!

Location was great, staff was great. Looks after his guests.

Hostel is good value for money, it is very small (just the one mixed 4 bed dorm next to the owners room). There is a kitchen and shared bathroom as well, however it would be nice if the kitchen was a bit more kitted out (i.e. some bowls, mugs etc). The beds are nice and very big for just one person. An addition of a private light per bed would make a big difference as it quite dark in the beds. There is an individual fan per bed as well as main room fans. The owner is super lovely and helpful, he is very happy to give recommendations for places to visit and restaurants etc, and he also can rent you a bicycle for the day.

Clean comfy double beds with privacy curtain. Owner was super friendly and kind. Met some other travellers from italy and Spain. Centrally located, great price.

The owner is very kind and helpful, willing to go out of his way to share with you the location of free temples, local food and sightseeing options. The place also offers bike rental (1000 LKR/day), which is a nice way to see the town (way better than tuk tuk imo)

“Cheap, well located and cozy place”

A budget-friendly hostel, well located in the city center and right next to a beautiful lagoon. The beds are double, spacious for one person, comfortable, and equipped with a fan, which helps with both the heat and mosquitoes. Guests also have access to a small kitchen, adding to the convenience. The owner is a really nice guy who goes out of his way to make your stay as smooth as possible. He also rents bicycles for exploring the area. The prices are very affordable—1,000 LKR per night and 1,000 LKR for a 24-hour bike rental. Of course, for this price, you shouldn’t expect luxury, but it’s a great place to stay with all the basic facilities you need. I enjoyed my time here, met other travelers, and would definitely recommend it!

For this price, you don't get clean sheet or A/C dorm. After all, this is the cheapest hostel I've been in, in Sri Lanka. But still, wide bed, electric plugs, filtered water, clean kitchen and bathroom. Bicycle rental. Veryyy nice owner !!!

“Great stay with a great host”

Beds were really big and room also had big lockers to lock away our valuables. Host gave us some great tips on places to visit in Anuradhapura and was really helpful and friendly.

Large bed, Friendly and helpful staff And bikes to rent. Accomodation are not always great in that category of prices (and that's normal), but it was not the case here : no bad surprise, and good service

The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The beds were large and comfortable and each has an individual fan. I slept really well both nights. The location was great - very close to the main bus station and also plenty of shops and restaurants. There's a nice little cafe downstairs next door where you can get roti and tea / coffee etc. I was able to rent a bicycle from the host to explore the Anuradhapura ancient city. The place gets locked up at night so I felt safe. I'd happily stay here again.

“Fantastic Hostel Owner - Perfect Location”

Great location right near to the best restaurants and the bus station. I hired a bicycle from the owner and cycled around the whole of the temple area. Also really loved meeting the owner - I spent the first night talking with him and he had great advice on the temples and just a great conversation beyond that too. Super affordable - beds are double bed sized, good fan for each bed, and huge lockers that can take the whole bag.

“Good value for a short stay in Anuradhapura”

Close to the main bus station and offers bike rental. Host very kind. It’s at the beginning. There are some improvement undergoing but is a good starting point point. Plus beds with curtain and very big beds
