“Wholesome!”
Lovely family, what a teamwork! Always local food at our disposal whenever needed. The host is always willing to help plan trips and guide you for a really great price (i recommend the afternoon mihintale trip). Great environment in the jungle aswell, we even saw a giant forrest squirrel while eating. Tip: go for a walk arround the closest lake to see some monkeys and birds play around in the magnificent trees. Oyeah wilpatu safari is amazing aswell!

“Feels like home”
The people at Forest View Homestay are the kindest people we have met in Sri Lanka🙏🏻 For a few days it feels like you are part of their family Their kids are always energetic and greeting you :) The food we had at the homestay was amazing and for a good price😋 The room was clean as well and there is an option to rent their bicycles 🚲 If we are ever in the Anuradhapura again we would come back to see these nice and kind people again🙏🏻

This place is great! The host Ruwan and his family are adorable. On the first day the host came to pick us up from the bus stop and when we got to the homestay they offered us tea and coffee. The rooms are really clean and the whole family will go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We tried their breakfast and lunch, both delicious. Rooms are equipped with mosquito nets, comfortable beds, hot showers and a small kitchenette. There's a beautiful terrace from which you can look right into the forest and you're very likely to spot monkeys, various birds and squirrels as well as a lot of other animals! Furthermore there's a shared kitchen with water, tea and coffee available as well as a fridge and a boiler. Ruwan is also very knowledgeable about all the main tourist attractions in the area and he will be happy to assist you in organising your trip. He helped us book a motorbike and gave very useful tips on trains and buses to continue our journey. The homestay is away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, situated in a quiet area but not far from all the main attractions. Honestly I really believe it is one of the best places we've ever been during our travels, so great that we extended our booking to enjoy it just a little longer!

The host family were super nice and helpful and the food was delicious. We spent two nights here. We hired bikes from the host and explored Anuradhapura but we also really enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at birds and listening to the forest sounds

“Amazing stay !”
What a great place, and most of all what a great family that owns the place ! We got leaded to a two days tour around the city to visit the famous and more hidden places of the city. Could not recommend more, the food cooked is also great !
