“Super Stay - very special place”

Beautiful, loving space and lovely garden. Jonti is a wonderful person, very interesting and also super helpful with any organisation for sightseeing etc. He's infused the place with a beautiful energy. The garden is gorgeous! Will stay again when I return.

“Budget friendly stay”

The hostel matched the listing perfectly—a charming, well-maintained spot with just 4 c beds on a walking distance from the town . Host Joni was incredibly welcoming, providing all the info we needed to settle in smoothly. Love the little kitchen for quick home-cooked meals. Joni also helped in arranging a scooter for us to visit all the attractions near by.

“The perfect place to just… be”

This is easily one of the best Hostels Ive ever been to! Very clean, very zen atmosphere, and a lot of places to sit, do Yoga or meditate!

This hostel is awesome, it's a fresh breath of calmness and peace. The host is very friendly and kind, he welcomed me like an old friend and made me feel at home. The place is an oasis of nature, with squirrels and birds all around, but still at walking distance from the town. It's also very quiet, because of the trees that stop the noise. Unfortunately I planned to stay just one night, but i would really have stayed longer just to enjoy the time with the host

As the name suggests, super relaxed environment in a quiet location, beautiful garden with hammocks and a lake 100m away. Simple, but has everything you need, including a shared kitchen.

The atmosphere is amazing. The position in literally in the nature. On the lake side you can see different animals and there are cows and goats walking freely. The owner, Jonti, is the best local you'll meet in Sri Lanka. I spent here 2 nights at the beginning of my trip, and I came back to spend 7 more nights at the end of it because I wanted a safe space to stay, so yeah. It's worth it.

I had the best time at Chill House hostel. The host is really welcoming and caring, and the vibe in the hostel is great. Very close to restaurants/shops but still surrounded by nature in a flourishing garden.

“Unassuming, but excellent”

The hostel is small and secluded, which was perfect for me. I found it to be very social even with only 4 beds, in large part due to the amazing host, Jonti. He cares greatly about all guests (I was unwell during my stay, he offered to drive me to the hospital and checked how I was doing every day), he’s a clean freak so the hostel was immaculate, as well as the surrounding gardens. The facilities whilst basic provide everything you need. Jonti provided advice on activities and eating, chatted politics and told interesting stories. I would 100% stay again. The hostel is as described- Chill- and eased a lot of my anxieties during my first few days in Sri Lanka

“Little chilled place”

Definitely one of the most chilled hostels in Sri Lanka. Location is nice close to the center with restaurants, supermarkets and behind is also the lake. Jonti is amazing and helps wherever needed. Garden is perfekt for a relaxing time. Beds all have plugs and with the fan it was not hot at all to sleep. Wifi super super strong. Would definitely come back.
