Overview
Banks is an elegant art hotel located in a fashionable district less than 3 minutes’ walk from the Market Square. It features design rooms with luxury bedding and free drinks and tapas in the Banks Lazy Lounge and Daytime Café. This hotel offers modern rooms with a flat-screen TV, seating area, and coffee and tea facilities. A mini fridge is available on request. Each morning a healthy breakfast is served at your table. This breakfast includes freshly-baked bread, a choice of meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit juice and unlimited coffee and / or tea. The lounge offers a casual setting for a drink in front of the open fire. From Monday to Saturday, guests of Banks can enjoy a selection of free drinks and tapas in the lounge from 16:30 until 20:00. On Sundays the tapas are served from 16:30 until 17:45. A free bottle of water is provided in the guest rooms of the hotel. The Plantin-Moretus Museum is 100 metres from the hotel and the Groenplaats Square, with tram connections, is less than 5 minutes' walk away. Antwerp Central Railway Station is a 20-minute walk from Banks.

Excellent location and lovely staff. Daily apéro is a rarity, as is the honour system for the bar. So nice to finally see an organisation err on the side of humanity, rather than assuming nefariousness. Well laid out rooms for their size with decent amenities. Lobby is large, airy and very nice. Breakfast and bar prices very reasonable. Would definitely stay again. Super clean and well kept hotel.

Pleasant and smooth check in. Quickly handled a concern we had with our room and upgraded us. Wonderful lobby area, comfortably decorated with an outside patio. Wonderful front desk staff. Very convenient location.

Very nice location. It is possible to live a luggage on reception. Every day from 17.00 till 19.00 hotel offers a compliment for guests.

The room was slightly hot - and the airco/heater was difficult to manage. Otherwise nothing wrong with it. But not outstanding either. Decent breakfast.

It is the second time we stayed here as we loved the hotel and location near the old town and river. The breakfast is good and they do a lovely free aperitif for guests in the evening.
