Just not for us

Overall our stay wasn’t what I expected, I have stayed at Soleil Pacifico and had been more pleasant. When we checked in, we could see how other guests had help with their suitcases, however this service doesn’t seem that is for “everyone” considering that our room it was a bit far. Bed was very comfortable, but on the downside the room smell a bit damp. Staff at the reception, and housekeepers were nice. The restaurant was disappointing, not very clear that you must do a queue to get a table for breakfast especially when they have many entrances to the restaurant, and lot of miscommunication between the staff, first morning had to ask 4 times for coffee while we could see the staff walking in circles, asked to the supervisor (I think) who decided to clear another table instead when we were just sat next to the coffee station, as soon as I decided to do it myself, a very polite gentleman that I assumed was the “big boss” apologised and the second day he spotted us straight away and came to serve us personally. Sat around the swimming pool for a quick beer before walk around Antigua, asked for the bill a couple of times, had to pay at the bar since nobody came to the table, but they didn’t have a card machine, waited longer for them to be able to take my payment (wasn’t a quick beer anymore) I think is silly to encourage you to use their restaurant and forbid to bring anything from outside when they don’t seem rushed in serve customers. I work in hospitality in London and I understand the industry very well, staff need more guidance on how to do the job efficiently, they clearly have the capacity but not the training.

Plenty of facilities and staff were responsive to any issues such as broken ironing board and moving us as renovations going on opposite original room.

Terrible customer service. They charged us twice for the total cost of our stay at the hotel, and we haven’t recovered our money over a month later. Also, the accommodation itself wasn’t worth the price - average quality services and food. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it given the vast amount of alternatives in town.

Large spacious rooms. Quiet at night Although breakfast was always very busy, it was well organised Large pool

The pool was heated. When Antigua was hit by a blackout, the hotel had a backup generator.

Worst customer service ever. We had to cancel the last night of our stay after we had already paid the entire stay at check-in. A month and multiple phone calls later we are still waiting for our refund of the last night. Unacceptable.
