Each room is decorated with works of art from renowned local artists as well as beautiful and detailed artistic weavings. It is necessary to contact the Hotel directly to make special requests such as rooms with one or two beds, for non-smokers, wheel chair-accessible, with a terrace or balcony, panoramic view and others since these are confirmed based on availibility. Delight your palate in the impressive ruins of the former Convent. Dining at El Refectorio is a gastronomic experience that offers refined and elegant international dishes created by renowned Chef Mario Enrique Campollo with a touch of Guatemala. In sum, an exquisite taste for the palate. Check out the ever-changing weekend specials. The Sunday brunch is a must stop and the weekend buffet of typical Guatemalan afternoon snacks is a true Guatemalan experience. A world of health, wellness and relaxation where you will be able to rest in one of the indoor / outdoor areas, sunbathe, relax in the pool, jacuzzis, wet & dry saunas or receive a treatment designed for women and men to help restore balance in body, mind & spirit. “If you’re going to treat yourself, this is the hotel to do it at!”
It’s an international standard 5* hotel, in amazing grounds within a converted convent/monastery. Literally a hotel in a museum. We paid more than we wanted to for a suite, but it was the last room left and it was stunning with double jacuzzi and log fire in the room.

Beautiful grounds, great comfort, a real fireplace in the room, stands with tea throughout the day a nice touch. The swimming pool is nice but can be chilly in January. The buffet breakfast is a marvel.

There is a museum inside the hotel as it's built on an old monastery that was damaged from an earthquake. Very cool to explore. Lovely breakfast and great pool and spa area.

“Historic stay but it comes at a price”
Loved the historic nature of the hotel, it was lovely walking around the many nooks and corners late at night and early in the morning when only hotel guests were around. Availability of gym facilities was great.

“Magical stay in the heart of Antigua”
A wonderfully designed space, full of charm and character – beautifully preserved old furniture, statues of saints and unique decorative details. The intimate courtyards and the idea for morning coffee were brilliant – we loved drinking it at sunrise and enjoying a mini muffin. There are many places in the hotel with a majestic view of the volcano – we especially recommend taking your morning coffee to the rooftop terrace. There is a safe platform where you can sip your coffee and admire the breathtaking view. The breakfasts were excellent – with fresh pineapple, watermelon and mango juices. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. When we asked for directions, they were happy to print out maps of the alfombra de flores procession route. The hotel also has a museum area and a chocolate factory, which guests have free access to – a wonderful surprise! The pool is beautifully situated and the hotel is home to two wonderful parrots, which adds even more charm. Highly recommend - this place is a real gem in Antigua. Pictures don't do it justice - you simply have to experience it for yourself. Absolutely worth it!
