The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and we got towels and bathrobes which was nice. The bathroom was also comfortable to use. The location was good, close to the market and to a lot of restaurants. The price was very good as well.

“A brilliant stay in Antigua!”

Had a brilliant stay at Casa ICHIK. Silvia and Efrain were the best hosts! They welcomed us into their home and made us feel like family, we loved our stay so much and was sad to leave :( the bed was comfortable, it’s a traditional Guatemalan home which was a great experience. Shower was warm, WiFi worked well. Free coffee was delicious and free drinking water too! Location is great, so close to everywhere but still quiet. Antigua gets cold at night but the blankets were very warm. We came back after camping up Acatenango and stayed again. Would highly recommend here and would definitely stay again when I return! “Truely lovely hosts”

The room, facilities and cleanliness plus location were all great. My only regret is I couldn't fully utilise them. I got a foot infection and the wonderful hosts Silvia and Efrain took me to see thier doctor who said I needed to go to hospital and gave me some choices. I ended up on drips for three days and the host visited me each day to check all was going OK. They looked after my things and helped me arrange payments for the hospital and doctor plus drove mme to my next accommodation. Truely lovely people.

Sylvia and Efrain are the friendliest hosts! they make you feel at home, like you’re visiting family! the accomodation is basic and homey and in a nice location, far enough away from the noisy bars but still very walkable to everything. there is plenty of comfy places to read a book with a coffee and the wifi is excellent. the kitchen is also fully equipped. great value too

I was in the Room 3 (family suite) which I found good value. Welcoming hosts and great location near Walmart, the market, the central square, tour agencies etc. Quiet room so that I could sleep well. Purified water was provided and coffee in the morning.

We had such a great time at Casa Ichik. The location was perfect and the room was good. But the best part were the two hosts! They were very kind and helped us a lot with booking things (like the shuttle to Nicaragua). Very lovely people and it felt like home. After the Acatenango hike (see picture) we came back!

Sylvia was extremely attentive and helpful. She let us check in early and spent over an hour talking with us about our travel plans and giving advice to ensure our hike up to Volcan Acatenango would be safe and telling us what questions to ask the tour company (Ox Tours - they were incredible!). She also helped us book a shuttle to Panajachel. There are only three rooms there so it was quiet and felt very much like family. Location was safe and on top of that Sylvia gave us tips to stay safe in Guatemala and put her info into our phones so that we could contact her in case of an emergency (or for non-emergency questions as well). Clean. Thank you Sylvia for going out of your way to ensure we had a great stay and taking such good care of us! We will be back!

location only a few minutes walk to the center, and only a few minutes to the local market, bus station, clean room, toilets and shower, hot water, exceptional kindness, care and effort of the owners, we always got fresh coffee in the morning, the owner wished us on the first day on a paper good morning and have a nice day in Slovenian language, pleasant and safe neighborhood
