“Wobderful boutique guesthouse”

Everything. Kevin was v helpful & flexible re payment. Breakfasts were really good. Room was lovely. Allowed us to leave luggage when we went down to the lake. Little shop for snacks & drinks around the corner. Kevin is Irish, so speaking English was really helpful for us.

We absolutely loved staying at Casa Elena and would come back anytime. It's a beautiful estate with spacious rooms and only a few guests. Marie Anne & Kev are lovely. They gave us great recommendations on where to go and what to do, they were easy to communicate with and made us an amazing breakfast each morning. They made us feel right at home which was a great start to our vacation. Other than that it was clean and we could see the Fuego volcano from our window.

“Beautiful and well-kept guesthouse”

We stayed for 2 nights in this lovely guesthouse and really enjoyed our stay. The decor is tasteful and elegant, with lots of beautiful plants and flowers that make the whole place feel very welcoming and relaxing. We stayed in the first room off the hallway and it was very comfortable. The room was set over two levels, which gave it a unique and cozy feel. The bedding was great, everything was spotless, the shower had hot water and the WiFi worked well. The terrace was also a real highlight, with stunning views of the volcanos. In the morning we could see El Fuego errupting. The Irish owner was very friendly and happy to share lots of helpful tips about the city, which we really appreciated. The guesthouse is located a little outside the city center, which wasn’t really a problem for us. However, since there are no beverages available on site, it would have been great to have a small fridge in the room (or even a shared fridge in the common area) to keep water or beers cold. That would have made it even easier to fully enjoy the terrace and the sunset views. A kettle or coffee machine would also be a nice touch, especially for early risers like us. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay in a beautiful and well-kept guesthouse. I recommend.

“Friendly b&b in a quiet but central area”

I had a very good time at Casa Elena. Spent 4 nights there and every morning I enjoyed a different delicious breakfast. Friendly owners, lovely patio and terrace with volcano views. It is 10-15 min walking distance to the center. Very close though to the Cerro de la Cruz. The neighborhood feels quiet and safe at all times. Would definiteley stay again.

The host was very helpfull and friendly. The accomodation warm and cosy. And super clean! They provided loundry service for a fair Price. We could leave our backpacks when we went on the acantenango tour. And the cherry on top was the cute kitten running around :)

“Lovely rooms and location, but areas to improve as a host”

Positives - clean, comfortable space, good beds, good water pressure and hot water (with good bathroom products), tasty breakfast, responsive, and nice decor (paintings, garden). Location is about 10 minute walk from the center.

Beautifully thought-out, the room was immaculate and the roof top terrace with all of the foliage was stunning.

Everything was very good. Location was far enough away to be calm and quiet but close enough to walk to the old town, great restaurants, shopping etc. The staff were exceptional. The room was large, bathroom as well, it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great roof terrace and direct views to volcan Acatenango and Fuego.

Our stay with Harvey and Diane was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. The room was cozy and comfortable, and we slept like a dream. The breakfasts were delicious—we already miss them! The location is peaceful and perfect for a relaxing stay. Thanks to Harvey and Diane’s great recommendations, we explored the most beautiful spots and enjoyed amazing food in Antigua. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our Acatenango hike—well-rested, happy, and full of energy. Highly recommend this wonderful stay!
