“Lovely couple, delightful hospitality and amazing breakfast.”

Olga came into the town to collect us and Stephen brought us to collect some takeaway that evening. They couldn't have been more accommodating. We were tired after a long Camino day and their house and hospitality was just what we needed. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. The tiny bar in the village was a local gem. Breakfast was a sight to behold and the best of our 7 day trip. Everything provided was local and/or homemade, even cookies! We were spoilt and set up for our day of walking. Olga then dropped us back to the route and off we went. Lovely couple.

“Lovely home stay near the Camino trail in Ansiao”

Olga and Stephen were fantastic hosts. Their home is a little way off the Camino trail so they picked us up on the trail and returned us the next day. Olga was also kind enough to warm up some food that we had brought for dinner that evening. The room was comfortable and we appreciated the small touches like fresh cookies, coffee and tea. Breakfast in the morning was a highlight - eggs from the chickens in the garden, fresh bread from the local bakery, jams that Olga had made herself and cheese from the neighbour. A real treat for 2 hungry pilgrims.

We stayed 5 nights at this truly wonderful place. Quinta Dos Church has a lovely peaceful garden with beautiful flowers and trees. Our room was spacious, clean and tastefully furnished and decorated. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and special! One of the best we've ever had. Most of all, it was the kindness and attentiveness of the owners, Olga and Stephen, that made this place so special for us. They welcomed us warm-heartedly, always gave us helpful advice on the area and its surroundings and helped us out with our various questions. Thank you Olga and Stephen for your exceptional hospitality! This place definitely deserves more than 10 stars. Would always love to come back in a heartbeat!

“A pilgrim's experience”

Extraordinary attention to detail to make me feel comfortable. The home made cookies, cold water bottle, and big breakfast, and hospitality and an extremely accommodating attitude made this visit very pleasant. The owners went out of their way to arrange for local transport to and from the facility. The garden like terrace is great for solitude. I made the reservation at a short moment's notice and the owner responded very quickly to ensure I had transport to the location.

The hosts were really nice people and very friendly and welcoming.the breakfast was excellent with a large variety to choose from.they also gave us some good tips for our trip.

Unbelievable owner, so friendly and open couple. You feel like a part of it, like home. You feel welcome and free since you can use the garden and you are part of the house. Its a lovely home with peaceful garden and friendly pets. It’s quiet and very clean, with loads of details to make you feel good. In the morning wait for you healthy breakfast if homemade and healthy meals. We stayed only one night, but would always come back!

“Fantastic host and accommodation experience!”

Firstly, the hosts, Olga and Stephen were fantastic. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Although the location (a beautiful spot) is a couple of kilometres out of town they contacted us beforehand to advise us that they would pick us up and drop us off on our walking route. This was a bonus as we were walking the camino and without transport. The accommodation was very clean and extremely comfortable with a lovely relaxing garden. A highlight was the breakfast which included home made jams, fruit from the garden , eggs from their chickens and cheeses from a neighbour's goats...amazing! There is small shop come bar about 50 meters away run by a delightful gentleman called Adelino which was a great relief after a day of walking the Camino! We had a great time and it is definitely one of the best all round experiences we have had over the many years of walking up and down the Iberian peninsula!

Olga and Stephen are exceptional hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and very well equipped complete with kettle, milk, home made biscuits and tea bags!! Breakfast was great with all home made produce and eggs from their own hens. This was a wonderful stay, thankyou Olga!

“Relaxing retreat after a hard day walking”

This was a delightful stay. Olga and Stephen are so welcoming. I particularly loved the breakfast with fresh bread, home made jams and eggs from the chickens. It was lovely to be able to relax in the shady garden often my Caminho walk. Olga is always happy to pick Pilgrims up from the Caminho.

The owners are very supportive of pilgrims. Breakfast was well prepared and there was plenty. The room was comfortable. Olga and Stephen are nice people. Olga made extra effort of meet the dietary needs of one of our group.

Quinta dos Church is a great place to stay in some less known part of Portugal. Quiet and peaceful countryside vibes. The breakfast is delicious with homemade fruit jams and cherry tomatoes from the garden. We enjoy a lot the time spent in the house and the kindness of the hosts.
