“Basic stay, friendly staff, great view”

The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and varied, and the outdoor area with a view of the lake is a highlight of the stay. The shower is inside the rooms, but the bathrooms are shared in the hallway. The lockers are in the rooms, but they are very small, some are broken, and the ones that work require your own padlock. The beds have power outlets for charging phones, which is handy, but there are no individual reading lights. Some beds have drawers underneath, but the space is limited.

Location is beautiful and there's a good bus connection if you don't want to climb up the mountain with your luggage. Breakfast was simple but fine.

I have never stayed at a hostel that has served breakfast before - it was really good! Croissant on one day, pain au chocolat the next, toast with nutella, biscoff and jam, yoghurt and muesli, cereal, orange juice/apple juice and a coffee machine. All was self serve and very comfortable. This type of open style buffet breakfast, and the openness of the beds (no curtains around them) make for a very social hostel. If you are looking for a social experience this would be a great place for you. It's not my preference, personally.

Hostel is on a very steep hill so the views of the lake are amazing but a bit of a workout! Full kitchen available to use which was nice

The staff at reception were very kind and friendly. I liked that they spoke to me in French so I could practise. The views were incredible and the breakfast was nice. I liked the design of the rooms and my bed was comfortable and clean.

Good location and accessible thanks to the bus stop, nice view, close to the city.

Breakfast was a cup of coffee, a crossant and a white bread roll with jam. I wouldn't describe it as 'good. I am petite and was hungry afterwards. Most electric sockets were broken. Only one working socket in my dorm. The dining room only had one socket so couldn't charge my phone there either. I suggest a plug in power board so everyone has a chance to charge electric items. Lights in bed pods also broken. Showers were cold, the button was broken so it had to be held in for the duration for the water to come, and there was mold on the walls. The staff were lovely and friendly.

i did not stay in the hotel due to late check in, we arrived at 16;00 hrs and rooms where not ready because they had a problem with their system, also the hotel is very dirty. so i paid and left

Loved my stay! The view was beautiful and staff very helpful. Felt like a cute little ski resort. Would definitely stay again :)

The auberge is nicely located and has parking spaces if you arrive by car. The included breakfast was nice and the restaurant has a nice terrace with a view on the beautiful lac de Annecy.
