Excellent and clean and safe hostel. It was lovely to meet Everton who was very kind and accommodating and gave us some great advice about Angra dos Reis and the beautiful surrounding islands :)

“Homely Stay perfect before ilha grande”
Perfect place to stop before catching the ferry to ilha grande. Everton and his team have made a homely vibe, which is really clean and tidy. Felt like I was in a home rather than a hostel which was very welcome. Everton was really helpful and had good tips!

Second time staying at 147, great place, easily the best place to stay in Angra. Everton and staff are great, super friendly and the location is perfect for visitors.

“They cancelled at the last minute then sent phishing emails”
Cancelled my booking one hour before check in... Then sent me a phishing email trying to get all my bank, address, birthday and other details. Don't book this place

“A Great Place to Stay!”
The hostel is very clean overall and has a nice kitchen and hangout area. The room was great - spacious with a comfortable bed, AC and a TV. Everton was extremely helpful, he gave us lots of information and answered all of our questions. I would definitely stay here again!

“Exceptionally Clean, central and modern”
Centrally located and 10 minutes walk to the Boat Station for the regular ferry to Ilha Grande and 5 minutes walk to the tour pier for the island hopping tours. Kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms were very clean

“Just stay - highly accommodating and clean”
Booked this hostel very last minute, we were unsure which city we would land in and we booked 2/3 hours before arriving. Worried about my time of arrival (11 pm), we messaged and we had a quick response and were assured we would still be attended to. The location was SUPER clean, tidy, and organized, the owner was our host and gave us a full tour and explanation of the hostel. He helped us with booking parking across the road and we're able to stay on-site beyond check-out to use the wifi to plan our next steps, he is very professional, helpful, and friendly. There are two large bathrooms with great shower space, the room we had two beds, a mirror aircon a table and a bin. I would've happily stayed longer if it was within our plans.

Avoid Angra 147—it's an unsafe and unwelcoming place. Upon arrival, a host, initially friendly, turned hostile when I struggled with Portuguese. He expelled me in anger. Subsequently, his partner visited my new hostel, trying to pressure me into canceling my booking on Booking.com to silence my negative review. These hosts are inhospitable; consider alternative accommodations for your safety as a solo traveler.

“Good location, stay quality depends on who you are sharing the room with.”
Location was great- 5 mins walk to the pier. From the bus station it only cost about R$9 by uber. Room and bathrooms were clean. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Believe there was free laundry as well but I did not use it.

The place was extremely clean and well kept. Everton, the host, was extremely kind and helpful in suggesting beaches to visit. When there was an error with booking.com in the room reservation, he cleared up the misunderstanding and made sure we were taken care of.

“Really good hostel to spend time as much as you need in angra”
The staff was amazing and really helpful! He gave me restaurant tips and truly listened my needs. The wifi was really good
