“Awesome family owned Hotel”

A cozy, family-run hotel with just a few rooms. Great breakfast featuring fresh fruit, coffee, eggs, and local pastries. Something different every day. Small kitchen in the common area for guests to use for cooking. Good, quiet location just under 5 km from Angra with free parking nearby (in front of the church). If you need a car, you can ask the hotel for one of their own vehicles, and for a small fee, you can be picked up at the airport. Supermarket just a few meters down the street. Very satisfied overall.

Very nice staff, who did everything for us to feel good. Breakfast was different every day - thank you for that! Location is ok, close to Angra, parking nerby. Clean, comfortable rooms, equiped kitchen, beautiful terrace. Perfect for a longer stay :)

Maria, the owner, made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms are well designed and comfortable. The rooms at the front can be slightly noisy at night, if you leave the windows open, as they overlook the road. (but you can always close the window and turn on the a/c). The rooms at the back are fabulous as they open out onto a lovely terrace, which can also be accessed from the communal kitchen, which is spotless and has designated cupboards and fridge space for each of the rooms. Taxi from the centre of Angra costs 7 euros. If you have a car, there is usually space to park in front of the church (about 50 metres away). We left our luggage at the hotel while we were away sailing for 5 nights and it was there waiting for us when we came back for an overnight stay before our flight home the following day. And the breakfasts are fit for a king.

Exceptional cleanliness, excellent communication with the owner. It was a surprise to me that there was a breakfast that was varied. Thank you for the exceptional attitude.

Farol Guesthouse was a fantastic stay with an exceptionally clean, spacious room, a huge terrace, an amazing breakfast that exceeded our expectations, and a perfect location—our only regret was not staying longer!

I do not know if should recommed farol guesthouse, because then to many people have knowledge about this place ;) but i will risk. Place is located in great, small village, near the harbour, newly renovated. Breakfast are really good, rooms are cozy and well furnished full of azorian gadgets. I would like to came back there as soon as possible

Very comfortable guesthouse ! Well-equipped kitchen, very friendly host, rich breakfast, nice terrace. We enjoyed our stay a lot and even extended spontaneously. The host only speaks little English but communication was no problem. Everything was well organised and nice. There are guide books and more tourist info material, a little library, two bikes, sun beds for the terrace, condiments and other equipment in the kitchen, everything you need.

“Good for a stop over and base to explore.”

Nice hassle free check-in. There is everything you need for a stay including a reasonable breakfast. There are some excellent fish restaurants nearby The balcony / patio area is shared with other guests. Not a problem for me but worth noting. It only just about qualifies as a 'sea view' if you stand up and look west. Even so, it was fantastic value for money and I'd have happily stayed longer.

A warm welcome, amazing breakfast, clean room, fun roof patio, clear instructions on wifi etc, pet friendly, an entire kitchen with appliances to use, very nice home deco, close to restaurants, the port and its park, and the ocean shore. A glimpse of the local bull run as a bonus.

The hotel was beautifully decorated, with a great variety of breakfast options and exceptionally friendly staff. I loved the small balcony attached to the room and the shared terrace. The location, although outside the bigger city, was peaceful and had everything one could need, with a shop just around the corner.
