O opțiune bună pentru un stopover. Practic, de cum ajungi aici intri în „holiday mood”. Avantaje: locația în mijlocul pădurii, aerul curat, piscina, camerele curate și personalul ospitalier. Dezavantaje: barmanii de la piscină par lipsiți de experiență, mâncarea de la restaurant este sub nivelul din anii anteriori, nu se observă investiții recente, iar unele facilități (cum ar fi leagănele) dau semne de degradare. Trăgând linie, plusurile cântăresc mai mult decât minusurile. În ciuda aspectelor care ar putea fi îmbunătățite, locația rămâne o alegere bună pentru un stopover sau un sejur scurt. Per ansamblu, aș acorda nota 8/10.

Peaceful rural location - turn right at the first crossroads after you enter Agkistro and the complex is on the left just after you leave the village again. The rooms are in log cabins, which gives a sort of Rocky Mountains motel vibe to the place. The lobby bar had Vergina beer and the taverna served traditional Greek food with a menu in 4 languages. Usual huge breakfast - I feel guilty for barely making a dent in it.

Loved the location, free and easy parking, instant access to the restaurant where the breakfast was also served. Quiet at night. Respectful and professional staff. Nature all around.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel in Agistro! We enjoyed it so much that we decided to extend our stay for two more nights. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the amazing hot springs, and we had a great experience at the cozy taverna next to the hotel with its delicious homemade dishes. The staff was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. Don’t miss trying the fresh trout at the trout farm only a 10-minute drive from the hotel — it’s absolutely worth it! We’ll definitely come back again.

Very beautiful location while the staff is very nice and helpful. Little improvements can be done to the bathroom facilities. The food is very diverse and tasty. Also the breakfast is rich and tasteful.

Great location, very close to the Bulgarian border, at the end of a serene village. Spacious rooms with all the amenities. The whole accommodation has a nice vibe and it's in the middle of the forest. Pool looked nice even if the weather was too cold to use it. It has a good taverna on site, opened until later in the evening and with nice traditional dishes. Good breakfast with plenty of options. The area offers a few options for hiking, there is also a spa at a close by location, so it can be worth staying an extra day or two to explore it. Safe parking.

We stayed in a cottage, very comfortable. The staff is very kind and friendly. The food at the taverna is excellently tasty.

Beautiful place, pet friendly ❤️ We had dinner at their taverna restaurant, it was great, very tasty Greek specialities, food arrived quickly and was delicious, the breakfast was also very good. There is a nice pool, with a beach bar. Rooms are confortable and clean. The staff provided impeccable service. We will come back.

The perfect mountain retreat at To Xilino Chorio Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you’re not even looking for them. We needed to break up the long drive from Bucharest to Evia, so we decided to split it over two days – one night going, one night coming back. What we thought would be just a convenient stopover turned into one of our favorite parts of the entire trip. Hidden gem in the hills This place is tucked away in the rolling hills near the Bulgarian border, and the setting is absolutely breathtaking. The elevation gives you these sweeping views that just go on forever, and there’s something about being up there that makes you feel like you’ve escaped the world completely. The silence is golden – that deep, countryside quiet where the loudest sound is birdsong and the rustle of leaves. After hours on busy highways, it was exactly what our frazzled nerves needed. Wooden houses with soul The wooden cabins are absolutely charming – not fancy or over-designed, just beautifully simple with honest wooden furniture that fits perfectly with the mountain setting. Everything feels authentic and unpretentious, like staying at a friend’s mountain retreat rather than a commercial hotel. Hospitality that warms the heart Our hosts welcomed us like family. You know that feeling when someone is genuinely happy to see you? That’s exactly what we got here. We slept like babies in the fresh air and woke up to a delicious breakfasts – fresh, hearty, and clearly made with love. More than just a stopover While we initially planned this as just a practical break in our journey, we quickly realized this place deserves to be a destination in its own right. Perfect for a long weekend or short vacation when you want to properly disconnect. The restaurant is excellent – we had the deer in red sauce and it was absolutely phenomenal.
