“Romantic country house”

We stayed in the beautiful "Sépia de France" room (which has a gorgeous ensuite) and felt like a king and queen! The setting for Maison Clairbois is amazing. Benoit was a great host - very welcoming - and we enjoyed a delicious and generous breakfast including fantastic coffee. The house itself is truly remarkable, renovated with such care, and reflects Benoit’s excellent eye for detail, art and creativity (designing and making pieces of furniture). We hope to return soon!

The property is in a stunning setting and is beautifully and artistically decorated by the obviously very talented and tasteful Ben. Our room was lovely: very comfortable bed and modern, immaculate en-suite bathroom. Ben was a welcoming, friendly and helpful host: he recommended great places for dinner, and places to visit. Breakfast was excellent with lots of local products.

We loved everything about this property. The room we had was beautiful. Ben was an amazing host together with Marian and his lovely aunty. In the moment you enter the property is like a dream come true, incredibly beautiful little chateau ,stunning garden and surroundings and awesome swimming pool. Room and house itself were impeccable- decorated and clean to a very high standard. We felt like we are in a very posh 5 star hotel, but with the warmth of a home . The host was amazing- very friendly, helpful, and highly intelligent and knowledgeable person, with whom we enjoyed many conversations (in English ) . We've been spoilt with very delicious and fresh breakfast every day ,with locally sourced artisan goodies. And we're lucky to have the chance have the host cook an incredible dinner for us one of the nights. We can't recommend the place enough, and we are very happy and appreciative that we had the chance to share the magic of the place for few days.

“Great host, beautiful house, excellent all round”

This is a beautiful house and very convenient for various chateaux’s particularly the Chaumont garden festival and other places to visit. There is a very nice pool and lovely garden with lots of seating. Benoit the owner often offers to cook dinner, not to be missed, and provides a delicious breakfast, either in the dining room or in the lovely garden. The property is very comfortable and the bathrooms and showers are perfect.

“Amazing stay on the countryside with a superhost.”

We were amazingly received at Maison Clairbois. The rooms were exactly as described in the site, and our host was amazing providing everything that was needed during our stay. The house is located in the countryside, has a pool and a very quiet environment surronded by nature. It was an amazing place to stay while visiting the Chateaux du Loir.

The house was recently renovated and looks perfect. The shared living room and dining room are lovely. The room and bathroom were in perfect condition and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious (we had booked the dinner there, it was a 4-course meal, freshly prepared with local ingredients).

We had a truly wonderful time at Maison Clairbois and Benoit is an incredibly attentive host. The house and grounds are beautiful, well tucked away into the nature and a perfect gateway to explore the Loire Valley. Delicious breakfast with local products and super fresh croissants. If you have the chance, Benoit is a wonderful chef and you won’t miss one of his dinners!

“A very good choice”

Benoit was very welcoming and we felt very good there. We appreciated that we could come with our 2 cats and even walk them around the garden as it far from the main road and the dog Gaspar was ok with them being there. We appreciated the quietness of the location and the closeness to the castles. The breakfast was nice and always fresh.

My room was stylish and comfortable. Very lovely. The outdoor areas are heaven, flowering trees and plants and a lovely pool. The breakfast was amazing; local cheese, honey, jams and delicious bread and croissant.

Benoit is a fantastic host, renovated the house beautifully and is also a very good cook. Highly recommended!
