The cottage was amazing. Clean, comfortable beds, great kitchen with everything you need, amazing bathroom with awesome bath and powerful shower. Location close to everything. Daybed out front to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Loved the 1940-50s decor and the attention to detail. Quiet location but easy walking distance to the Main Street of this quaint historic town away from the tourist bustle of the Barossa. The continental breakfast supplies were most welcome. It rained all weekend, but we were more than happy to soak up the warm ambience of this gorgeous cottage and it’s lush garden setting, between walks in the town with our umbrellas.

Walnut Cottage is beautifully presented, reflecting interesting history & comfort, without clutter or any cobwebs!. We especially enjoyed the comfortable, cosy sitting room and imagine it would be wonderful in winter with the open fire. Air conditioning was effective on a hot summmers day. We also enjoyed the fabulous full size bath in a bright airy bathroom with seperate shower. The location was simply brilliant. An easy stroll to the mainstreet where there were several cafes and other places to eat, a fabulous butcher and very well run, comprehensively stocked 7 day supermarket. A wonderful location from which to explore the Barossa Valley.

Lydia, our host, supplied a variety of cereals, bread and fruit pots for our breakfast together with milk, tea & 2 types of coffee.

Lovely property, beautifully presented with all the little details thought of. I really enjoyed having breakfast and all the basics catered meaning we didn’t need to go to the shopping over the stay and could just enjoy the area.

Quaint cottage within a short walking distance to local shops, restaurants and short drives to wineries. Lydia was very helpful with access information and local recommendations. We enjoyed the lovely breakfast and treats provided.

The cottage was very clean. Its heritage fit out was fun to enjoy for a short stay The gardens are beautiful and very peaceful and we enjoyed walking and sitting outdoors.
