Beautiful location and a beautiful finca

Location fantastic, buildings very quaint and interesting. Host helpful and good communications before and during the stay.

“Characterful different and beautifully sited”

The location is fantastic and excellent for through walking the GR221. The property is quirky, characterful and beautiful. The evening meal was fine. Welcome hot food after a day hiking in the rain. The owner was pleasant.

Communable and homemade fresh dinner. Roaring log fire. Very homely. Great location and entirely possible to make it to Valledmossa in 6 hrs (fast walking and jogging)

Didnt have breakfast due to previous reviews. I actually prefer to make my own breakfast and the facilities for this were great. Quiet and pretty location. So happy that I could take my dog along with me.

The scenery around this privately owned finca is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by mountains. Although it is not far from the main road and sits in the valley rather than at mountain level, the setting is still very attractive. Unfortunately, however, the overall experience did not match the location. We arrived about 40 minutes before the official check-in time and placed our rucksacks on the floor next to the covered check-in area outside, planning to wait quietly for the owners while we walked around the main outdoor area to orient ourselves. The male owner promptly approached us and asked us to leave and wait outside the gates with our luggage until 3 p.m. Without even saying hello or offering a welcome, this made for a very poor first impression. When we returned after 3 p.m., we were offered a “welcome drink,” which we later discovered had been added to our bill. Throughout our stay, it felt as though everything was rationed, including basic items such as toilet paper. Much of the outdoor furniture was broken, making it difficult to enjoy the lovely surroundings. Several essential amenities were also not functioning properly, including the toilet flush and a tap that leaked all over the bathroom shelf. Dinner was disappointing: very basic and clearly inexpensive to produce — pork chops, aubergines with cheese, and a simple salad with barely any dressing. There was no real vegetarian option; the alternative offered was simply the same meal without the pork (at the same price). As one of us is vegan, the owner advised that she would have to bring her own food and would not be able to sit at the table with us. Breakfast was also very poor: rationed cheap white rolls with no nutritional value, a single apple, and a few very basic condiments. Overall, despite the beautiful scenery, the stay did not offer good value for money. “Modern living in traditional finca”

Beautiful old finca modernized to a very high standard. Situated in a remote rural part of the island with goats and sheep in the nearby field. Very quiet and peaceful. Home cooked food by the proprietor's wife.

“An experience”

To us, the host was very welcoming and answered all of our questions about his beautiful property. We were greeted nicely, got a cute room with a terrace and had an amazing dinner with the other guests. Hot water was finished though and it was rather chilly everywhere.

After a long hike we After a long hike, we arrived at Ses Fontanelles and were immediately captivated by this small, lovingly designed oasis. We met the other guests over a drink in a small garden and then enjoyed a wonderful dinner prepared by Patrick's wife. The accommodation (dormitory) was clean and similar to the hikers' huts further north in the Tramuntana mountains—only the ambiance and service were more personal. In addition to the fantastic dinner, there was also an outstanding breakfast—it couldn't have been better! Thank you so much for letting us stay with you!

Great location, ideal if you are walking the GR221. Our room had a lovely little private terrace. Full of character.

Patrick is a little eccentric but very kind natured. This is an off-grid house rather than a hotel so don’t expect luxuries like unlimited water. It sits in private gardens but don’t be put off by the daunting “Privado” signs…. We were made welcome, enjoyed a superb 3 course dinner, and were sold bottled waste to top up ahead of a long section on GR221.
