Incredible suites, splendid design, proper staff attitude. The breakfast and coffee were great, everything you can expect from that kind of hotel. The gym is top notch, and the spa area is gorgeous.

Fabulous hotel. Our ‘standard room’ was luxurious and packed with features and home comforts. Excellent spa and in/out pool. Excellent & free yoga classes with Sandra - very good for stretching after skiing. Ski Butler to help with kit, tuition, ski/boot care and ski area advice. Transport to/from Gemsstock lift, and to /from local restaurants. Location ideal: adjacent to the Gutsch gondola, Andermatt old town restaurants, and train station.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5) Stayed: October 2025 – Wife’s 40th Birthday We stayed at The Chedi in October 2025 for my wife’s 40th birthday, and overall it was an incredible trip. The Chedi is a truly stunning hotel — elegant, peaceful, and set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Swiss Alps. We stayed in Room 1401, which had spectacular mountain views and a beautifully designed suite 👌. The spa deserves a special mention — especially the outdoor heated pool. Floating in warm water surrounded by crisp mountain air and snow-capped peaks was an unforgettable experience. A few things that could have been better: Before our arrival, I had sent several messages via both Booking.com and the hotel’s own email, trying to arrange some balloons and rose petals in the room as a surprise for my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive any replies until I eventually called the hotel myself. The concierge assured me everything would be arranged — but when we arrived, nothing had been done. This was disappointing as the surprise was ruined. I even sent a reminder message the day before, but again received no response. When I called the front desk after check-in, they said they were “just about to bring them up,” but at that point it was too late for the surprise. To their credit, the guest services manager called and sincerely apologized, offering us a complimentary bottle of champagne and a chocolate cake, which was a thoughtful gesture. I understand they were having internet issues at the time, but given I’d reached out the day before, I would have expected better communication from a 5-star hotel. The food across the property was another area that, in my opinion, didn’t quite match the standard of the hotel itself. The dining options were fine, but for a hotel of this caliber, I expected a higher level of culinary excellence. When we first arrived, check-in was delayed due to the internet outage.

Leaving Briggels/Briels we decide to stop at this famous hotel “the chedi” Andermatt. Huge, big, large… and beautifully decorated. We booked a suite because the difference on booking was small. Impressive like an apartment. Everything is done via iPad. The bedding is amazing. There’s nothing negative to say. A lot of staff everywhere from the reception to the restaurant. But maybe too impersonal for us. We prefer smaller spot. More cosy, intimate.

I travel a lot and lots of experience with 5-star hotels. This one is definitely in my top 3. Very large and modern with some vintage touches. Suites are huge and well equipped with tablet to operate everything. Nice sugar bar, wine bar, multiple kitchens, really nice spa. Staff is really good and sincerely polite and helpful.
