Overview
Chalet Swiss Andermatt is a charming, 18th century house positioned in the old centre of Andermatt. The base station of the cable car going to the Andermatt Ski Area is a 2-minute walk away. The chalet is decorated with rustic, wooden furnishings and offers a fully-equipped kitchen with a dining area. A private bathroom with a shower and satellite TV are provided at Chalet Swiss Andermatt. The final cleaning fee, heating and electricity costs are included in the room rate. Guests are offered a separate room for storing ski equipment. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Andermatt Train Station is 650 metres from the property. A number of restaurants, shops and cafés can be found dotted around Andermatt. In Sedun there is a public wellness centre which is reachable by train in 30 minutes.

“Good location but low door heights and no facilities compared to other similarly priced apartments”
Good location close to Gemsstock gondola 5 mins walk and on Gotthardstrasse main street with lots of restaurants also 5 mins walk to Coop supermarket, 10 min walk to Andermatt Gutsch gondola, host very responsive on Whatsapp, good WiFi speed and reasonable kitchenette.

Location is great, plenty of space, charming, good bathroom, good kitchen, spacious bedroom (excellent for one family), excellent communication with host from start to end. I do recommend it.

Great communication helped us relax and enjoy our stay. The place was well equipped with everything we needed, really comfortable and cozy and to have a traditional Swiss style cottage in the centre of town at such a reasonable price, was a bonus.

Loved the traditional wooden chalet style. Felt like coming home after a day on the slopes. Cosy but spacious and comfortable. Close to one of the gondolas!

“Lovely chalet in centre of Andermatt”
The location is perfect, really central but also very quiet. Caroline is an excellent host and was very quick to respond to queries. The Chalet had all amenities and we had a wonderful stay there.

The host forgot to forward the entrance code to us. When we arrived at the accomodation we called the host to get the entrance code. Unfortunately our calls remained unanswered. We finally could "crack" the entrance code ourselves and managed to enter the accomodation. In the morning the host called us to appologize... appology accepted of course. The accomodation is quite nice and the host is a friendly lady... but the situation at the moment itself was very unpleasant. We lost more then one hour trying to crack the entrance code... in the cold... in the dark... being tired after a 14 hour drive...
