The house was lovely, the room spacious with its own sitting room. The shower was good and the bed comfortable. Breakfast, all home cooked including the bread, was excellent, and more than just croissants and coffee

Beautifully renovated property- we absolutely loved the style and decor. Vanessa was an excellent host and the history of the house is fascinating. The bedroom was comfortable (Odette) with a beautiful bathroom. We used the exercise pool and jacuzzi which was a lovely way to end our stay.

I broke my partner here to celebrate her birthday and safe to say she was blown away by The Incredible views the sun and location and the gorgeous bathtub. The place was exceptionally clean and well kept to a high standard and breakfast was delicious and home-cooked every morning we couldn't have asked for a better stay.

This is a really beautiful place to stay . The accommodation is of the very highest standard and incredibly comfortable. The facilities are excellent and we very much enjoyed the use of the swimming pool and hot tub. Vanessa and Jean-William are wonderful hosts. The evening meal option is highly recommended, Vanessa is a fantastic cook. The breakfast was also excellent and plentiful. The homemade chocolate spread and crepes were delicious! Can’t wait to come back again!

Everything about our stay was exceptional! From the warm welcome to the heartfelt farewell, every moment felt special. The amazing homemade breakfast, alongside the immaculate cleanliness and spaciousness, truly enhanced our experience. Though the old farmhouse might appear humble from the outside, inside boasts a stunningly open and fully renovated space, thoughtfully designed for comfort. The tranquility and breathtaking views of the horses and surrounding region made it the perfect retreat for relaxation.

“Quiet and comfortable”

Breakfast was far more than the traditional coffee and croissant. Vanessa made fresh, delicious food each morning. Dinner was excellent too - local ingredients paired with a good selection of wines. The farm is in a delightful location with many beautiful horses in the surrounding fields.

The breakfast was fantastic, as were the 3 course evening meals, Vanessa is an amazing cook. Nothing was too much trouble, she prepared alternative food for our grandchildren if necessary and supplied gluten free bread etc for another family member. She and her family were so welcoming and friendly, we felt as though we were staying with friends. She introduced us to some of their horses and told us a lot about them and how they race them. It is ideally situated for all the attractions and history of Normandy. We would definitely go there again!

“A perfect place to stay”

On the evening of arrival Vanessa and family served their dinner board and it was so delicious and as we thought we were done Vanessa served us homemade dessert. The breakfast exceeded all our expectation, Vanessa even makes her own yogurt, granola, jam, juice, pancakes, muffins - and the servings variated from day to day. We felt very welcome. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. It was very easy to find and very close to the highway. We can only recommend you to stay at Le Haras d'Havetot and we will definitely be back !

“Great stay at a stylish mansion in beautiful rural Normandy”

We had an excellent stay at Haras d'Havetot. Very stylish house in a rural environment, with totaly refurbished rooms. We had the pleasure to get a tour on the Haras by Vanessa, the very friendly and helpful co-owner who explained us everything about race horse breeding. Highly interesting to learn about the complete process from the conception until the horse enters the trotter racetrack. The breakfast was delicious, varied and extensive. Great place. Thank you!
